The USSS (=US Secret Service) intends to negotiate on a
sole source basis with...? This was puzzling me, I found the quotes below
on some 'merchant pages' towards some American governmental organizations.
It is about 'modified devices', lets hope the American government does not
ask for 'modified vehicles'. Just
quote;
Description
The U.S. Secret Service intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Security Products International for (9) Nine modified Mini Sony DVR Recorder Kits w/o Remote Control for distribution to local, federal and state law enforcement agencies. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement on a full and open competitive basis upon receipt of responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No formal solicitation package is available. Any inquiries must include a full capability statement, and must be received not later than (3) days after publication of this synopsis. The Government will not be responsible for any costs in preparation of responses to this announcement. See FedBizOpps Note 22-4 days.
Above is easy to understand, the Sony recorder kits need some
modification. Could be, I do not know. But can you make French fries from
the following??:
