Boring reading. It is boring reading this official manual that is the basis of standing policy in Iraq, but since it is the basis it is wise to look at the ways of thinking behind it. The ways of reasoning of the enemy are always important to know of course. But it is boring for the most part, it contains some nice details as for example the use of loudspeakers mounted on vehicles and used to shout impolite words at the opponent. This all in an attempt to provoke the opponent into action. All in all this manual is not of the highest quality, lots is based on older manuals rewritten to the Iraqi equation. Not much new as far as I saw it (but I did not read the entire manual so may be I missed some details that are handy to know...) It is a file in the so called portable document format (pdf) so you need the Adobe reader of Ghost Script of stuff like that, here is the download:
Like said before it does not change much on the ground where that actual attacks are staged, yet it might contain a bit info that is handy to know. Know the enemy!
