(09 Oct 2026) Wow, Open AI has released the solutions to over 700 math problems. Wow, a miracle? What I think has happened is that many math people were working on those very problems and ha ha ha they used ai applications like the services of Open AI. And now they have their work stolen from under their asses, they are 'Buckmastered' so to say.

Some time ago Russia staged attacks against UA internet infrastructure and in a tit for tat response Ukraine attacked a large datacenter from Yandex. The damage is not very clear but it can be an expensive thing for Yandex, present day hardware is crazy expensive right now. And of course this facility can be attacked many times over and over again, the Russians haven't learned a thing from their Wildberries experience and voila, why not? And attacked Ukrainian internet infrastructure... News article:

Last update I sarcastically joked that may be they were working on a plague bacteria that is resistant to anti-biotics. But it could very well be that this institute for the study of plague has done such research in the past. On plague and also smallpox. (And likely anthrax and of course a long list of unpleasant virussus, but the source didn't say that). Anyway all I wanted to say is that if all true that explains why the lab female died, 200 people had to go in quarantine and all those hospitals also under lockdown. After all a lab worker doing natural plague studies should have effective vaccination, so why did she die?

A video from The Sun shows a lot more of what happened in the Ukrainian war. As always a lot has to be skipped like for example it seems that Germany has now interceptor drones that go 600 km/hour and is going for a serious production line. So thank you Germany, that brings a little piece of mind because Russia has such crazy expansion plans for drone production. And it is hard to say why in the long run the war would not expand into Europe. Well here's the video:

  Item 2) The physics and chemistry Nobel prizes from this week.

Physics was a solo prize, just one person, for work in neutrino detection. I don't know much about neutrino's beside that they are also 'spin half' particles but unlike electrons my estimation is that they are not magnetic monopoles. So just like they are neutral for electric fields, I think the same goes for magnetic fields.  

The chemistry prize was much more interesting for me because only this year I figured out that in chiral molecules the direction of the electron pairs is flipped. I think and electron pair is made up of two electrons with opposite magnetic charges respecting basic energy considerations while the official version also used in chemistry is that their spins are 'anti-parallel'.  

This result was rather trivial, it just had to be true if you read that stuff they do with circular dichroism. That is a form of spectroscopy where they look at the intensities of circular polarized electrons in the two versions of chiral molecules.
Together with the idea that both kinds of electrons produce their own circular photons, the one kind produces fresh left rotating light and the other kind produces right circular polarized photons.

At first I planned to write a post about it because after all it is a rather spectacular result but I decided to skip it for the time being because university people will not be interested very much.

At a first glance you might think that stuff like 3D complex numbers or trying to correct the mistakes in say electron spin is stuff that bring science as a whole a little bit forward. That might be so but in practice it does not advance the careers of university professors. Now I often have said these people (professors) do mostly social things, not science. But what most important is for a professor is their career, the science involved is just a way of advancing their career. If they needed the build steam powered quantum computers for better calculation of horoscopes, they would do that if that would bring them higher up the social ladder.

That's also how you got those weird things like in psychology where at some point in time about half of even more of published research was not reproducible. If all researchers just one dimensional advance their careers, so you got weird practices like stopping data collection as soon as you hit a significance threshold.   

Back to the Nobel prize: It is known that chiral version of molecules have a preference for electron transport. They often prefer one kind of magnetic charge over the other. This electron spin transport must be very important for the start of the chemical reaction that will form a molecule or it's chiral version. Inside living tissue this is a critical thing because biomass consists often of just one chiral version of a molecule. 

The video below is made by an ai enthousiast, as you might have noticed I am not a big enthusiast although I use it too for say Latex code. That's much faster as looking it up online myself so why not? But it was not an irritating video, anyway that is my opinion. The description of the video is very very ai in for example the use of the Oxford comma. And, the Oxford comma, is a comma, that is used, too often in a place, where it's not really needed.

(07 Oct 2026) TLDR had a cute video out on the EU industry that all in all is not doing so bad. To my surprise they showed a graph where it looks like in my own country the industry is relatively booming. There is no denying that the last years have been hard for the EU industry in particular the heavy users of energy in the form of gas have been hit hard. But I never believed much in the narrative that EU industry was dying or disappearing, it just has to evolve faster and a bit more and most of the time that takes a few years. But sometimes it feels like everything is coming together at the same time like in say the German auto industry. All kinds of issues at the same time and on top of that all those cheap Chinese cars imported, that's just hit after hit.

Today there was a large scale attack on Moscow, reported numbers of drones varied wildly from 300+ to 600+. Yesterday Gerdes came out in one of his vids with a 2020 casualty number for the Russians. A couple of months ago the Ukrainians came with that ambitious sounding plan of trying to get 50 thousand Russian casualties every month. That sounded very ambitious and I wisely kept silent but now we are in the autumn it looks like they are on the right track. If memory serves it was 46 thousand Russians last month Sept.

There were all kinds of other records and yes that sounds often very positive but in the meantime it is hard to see how this war will come to an end.

That weird news around the plague from Russia does not add up but at first glance it does not sound as weird as we have with the COVID19 virus emerging from Wuhan.

In Wuhan there was that virus lab where they even investigated stuff with funny sounding names like 'gain of function' research. And when it was clear the virus emerged from Wuhan it was obvious for everybody it had to be that wet food market. Not a lab leak, who puts such a building inside a large city anyway, but a wet food market had to be the source.
The news from Russia is a bit less weird. Ok that lab employee, that female broke some glass tube, got infected and died consequently. But normally speaking plague or pest bacteria are very treatable with antibiotics so what is going on here? Are the Russians doing their own 'gain of function' research and now ha ha ha look it is not longer killed by antibiotics! Hurray for Russia! Or are those workers at that plague study institute also researching all kinds of other bacteria and or viral stuff?

Ok, it is late and as so often we skip most of the news but here we go to item 2. 

  Item 2) A dictionary that expands itself every year...

A very vague description of those generative ai models like LLM's, image generators or video or sound or whatever is generated is that it is just a large collection of tokens. For a language model these tokens are parts of a word, they are the building blocks the LLM's use to generate text.  

Now instead of a modern LLM imagine the next scenario: 

Over a century ago my greatgrandfather made a steam powered dictionary. And it was a true miracle, every year it expanded 7 fold in size. It makes new combinations of old words and also comes up with brand new words. Every year there were seven times as much words in it.  

And now over a century later a few times per year I plug it in with a tube that delivers the steam and it still expands every year. Only now after so many years there are more words in the dictionary as there are particles in the observable universe.

Is this dictionary now some form of super ai? No, it is still a dictionary and now it is also no longer useful because almost all of the words in it have no meaning for humans.  

For example no generative ai can find say 3D complex numbers if they only have training data on the complex plane. So my expectation for usage of ai in math research are not high in the sense I expect the ai's to do the important break throughs. May be it can be useful for going through a large pile of text relatively fast and precise. Just like say when we got handheld calculators back in the 70-ties, it made life easier and more productive. 

Just like if you add 2D complex numbers in any way you try, you will never get 3D complex numbers, so are generative ai's bound inside the space of the tokens they use. And of course you can tweak it endlessly how those tokens are used or put together, but you basically always stay inside the span this set of tokens had.  

I think in the long run all that ai stuff will just be a bunch of useful tools just like people now often use a calculator in their phone. The rest is all crazy hype more or less generated by the fear of loosing all those giant huge investments where the dream was making super ai.

(02 Oct 2026) The yield on the US 10 year is now over 5%. Historically this is a pretty normal yield level only now total debt is 40+ trillion US$ while there still is that shift to shorter and shorter maturity times. In the meantime in France they have begun cutting billions and the number sounds impressive but there still is a hole in the budget of about 5% of GDP. In the face of so much fiscal irresponsibility it is logical long term bond investors want a better yield. It all looks like normal market development and not much of a panic. I didn't have much time left over tonight because to be honest I fell asleep so all stuff got a bit of a delay. The Russian army will expand a little bit with 15 thousand more, that is about the spend in bodies in two weeks time. The Russian elections are over and it looks like instantly there is less fuel for ordinary Russian citizens. Operation Vivaldi is still going on and I think I did not give my compliments for that so by this one: Great job.

I also wanted to include this week that video shot of those Russian POW's. It seems that Russian milbloggers are freaking out on this. But yes this is a large grouping but all in all it was said over 250 were taken prisoner of war.

  Item 2) A bit more on those selection rules.

It was some time ago that I dived for the last time in those selection rules from chemistry because in the video from two days back dr Jorge Diaz had made such a beautiful energy diagram. And the diagram said that never ever the electron spin flips.

But in chemistry the concept of selection rules is much much wider and it covers also cases with a low probability. If you want to know more about it, it is easy to find on the internet. Just search on some stuff with selection rules in it or may be look for what the La Porte rule is. How do you write that name anyway, Laporte of La Porte?

More specific you can look for spin selection rule. And yes the people from chemistry explain that spin flip is forbidden. But at the same time when they do their talking about say a triplet (that is two electrons with the same spin) they still remark that if one of the electrons does a spin flip it would be a singlet (two electrons with opposite spins).

So the people from chemistry are completely unaware that likely electrons cannot flip their spin. But all in all chemistry people are not much interested in electron spin. Only a bit in the famous electron pair but ha ha ha, that is the core of a lot of atomic bonding into molecules.

But for example say look at carbon: At every carbon atom in say a diamond lattice, four electron pairs come together. So the lowest energy level is when two electrons have say spin up and the other spin down. The actually don't have spin but magnetic charge but it is commonly referred to as spin up and down so I use that kind of language...

Not that I follow chemistry very much, but you never hear them speaking about such cute energy problems.

(30 Sept 2026) The FBI got hacked? It could very well be true, it's the same group that not that long ago hacked a Dutch telecom provider Odido. They are not a real telecom company like KPN but a reseller. Odido did not pay the ransom and some of their customer data landed on the dark web. But going from Odido to say the FBI, for sure that is some promotion. I think the name of the hacker group is Shiny Hunters. I don't know if it's  strategically wise to hack the FBI and let the whole world know that you've done it. Well, here's a Politico article on the story:

It looks like my own computer problems are over, it was likely not a hack because I got those old fashioned small files everywhere of say 167 kB in size and you can't remove them. There even was a tiny video format file and I clicked on it. Then VLC media player came out and angrily told me such an action should not lead to trying to get an internet connection. Anyway it looks like all is working properly again.

This time, as the story goes, Russia seems to think that massively scaling up drone production and attacks will break the Ukrainians into surrender somewhere in the spring of 2027. 

Now don't forget Putin is a rather dumb guy, anyway I estimate him to be dumber as the average physics professor so that is a very low bar to find yourself under. For almost five years on a row nothing of what that weirdo Putin thinks or thought has come out but he never blames it on he himself being a stupid person. Or the contrary, what he has in common with a lot of professors is the arrogance; he likely still thinks he is always the smartest person in the room.

But the numbers are crazy, I don't remember it sharply but something like 12 billion € in drone production for the next year? Here's the ISW thing:

  Item 2) The electron postulate and two video's.

Ok, it is no secret what I think about the electron's magnetic properties aka it's spin: Let me phrase it as a posutulate because that is common in physics:

Electron postulate: It has an electric and a magnetic charge and this charge is permanent. Electrons cannot 'flip their spin' so to say.

This fits the observations much better and since 2015 I try to find just one detail that says I am wrong.

The first video is about photons and here the importance is that if electrons produce photons these are different because they have their magnetic field shifted by 180 degrees. The two kinds of electrons produce left and right circular photons and also both different linear polarizations. Of course there's also lots of elliptical polarization but there are always two kinds that you can relate back to when the photons were created by an electron.  

The guy from the video channel See the Pattern of course does not use electron spin but he is very vivid in sharing his view: Quantum teleportation of photons states is not a real thing.

I wholly agree with that. Photons, entangled or not, never communicate with each other. That is total nonsense, photons are a way of electrons to exchange energy but photons themselves move freely through each other. For teleportation you need entanglement but in the past we have seen that all those Nobel prize winning experiments can fully be explained by the electrons that were used. For example they never explain why the photons of John Clauser always have the same polarization while in the other experiments it is always an opposite polarization. When logic breaks down they never talk about that... Here's the video:

The second video is one of those perfectly made video's from Jorge Diaz. The video is about a lot of things but also on the so called Zeeman effect. Under magnetic fields the spectra of atoms and molecules splits up in more spectral lines. Originally just two but later much more wild versions were discovered. May be, but I am not a historian, it was trying to explain this splitting of the spectral lines what led to what at present days is known as "Selection rules".

Loosely said the selection rules say that when electrons jump up and down the atomic orbitals, they keep on having the same spin. This is in line with my idea that the magnetic charge of an electron is a permanent feature. Otherwise there would be more Zeeman splitting lines.

As you see in the image below (likely hand made by Jorge) you see the exited state has four different energy levels and the ground state has two. But there are not eight different energy transitions observed but only six.

So once more you see in action what I have been doing since 2015: Trying to find a mistake in my ways of thinking but also stuff like the Zeeman splitting is much better explained by a permanent magnetic charge and not all that talking out of their necks where the professors excel in.

At present day the 21 cm radiation of atomic hydrogen is mostly explained by physics people from electron spin flip. But if that can't happen, what causes it? I think it is just loose electrons that bump into an hydrogen atom and the electrons get exchanged while producing a 21 cm photon.  

In itself just that 21 cm detail is fascinating but believe me astronomers are university people. So nothing will change because they are so important and their theories are always of course ultra superior compared to what the muddy people from outside the universities think of it.

Anyway in the USA they now seem to have 7% mortgage rates, that's really high given the fact US house prices are also high. Of course what drives stuff like this up are the present policies from this US administration. You can't cut taxes for so many years, at some point it becomes problematic. Why should any investor, USA or foreign, loan it's money for a long time to uncle Sam? Lets go to today's items:

And from the USA Zelensky reported that Patriot interceptors were coming but would not say from what nation. That would bring some hard needed relief but all in all in the entire world there are not that many left I guess.

 Item 2) The original 'entanglement experiment' from the EPR paper.

The image is from a sceen shot of a relative long video from David Kaiser. The video is about quantum weirdness, Schrödinger's cat, EPR and the famous Bell theorem. Let me once more repeat for clearity: I think all those Bell states are impossible, I also doubt deeply that electron spin has anything to do with probabilities. You will always measure the same just as in measuring the electric charge of an electron...

After having said that once more, in the original paper from Einstein and collaborators there is only two particles going out in opposite directions. And the assumption is they are entangled and that means some properties are strongly correlated.

Well back in the time they only pondered questions like if you measure the place or the momentum of one of the particles, do you know something about the other? These are all legitimate and normal questions.

But also then they wondered if there was some faster than light link between the two particles. That is already a lot less legitimate but then and now the people from physics think that everything is probabilistic. Combined with the super position principle of quantum states, it is no wonder you start thinking weird weird stuff in order to make sense of it.

Therefore the explanations of things like the Stern-Gerlach experiment are always done within a framework of probabilistic behavior. And again: It's now 2026 and no repeated SG experiment has ever been done and non of those weirdo's think that is a problem. 

But only such an experiment finally would validate that say measuring electron spin is indeed probabilistic. And I do not mean faults in your measuring device but just always. So the whole bunch of the Gauss law for magnetics that says monopoles do not exist would also have some important evidence.

Well that is ultra handy: I lost all links I saved yesterday. Likely I did not save them but when I accidentally did shut down the power it was all lost instantly of course. It does not matter that much, I could try to find the links again but all in all I think you can surf the internet also if you want to find more specifics on a topic.  

There was a relatively large scale attack on Moscow on the latest day of their Duma elections. Most beautiful was, in my view anyway, the attack on the Moscow refinery where three distillations columns were on fire. In Moscow itself was no air alarm and also no SMS alerts or something like that. As so often if it is not in the news apparently it didn't happen.
Today it was in the news two more refineries were attacked. So that is good news on the eve of a new Trump Zelensky meeting. Of course it has some effect on things like diesel prices now Russia can't export it anymore and will become a net buyer of the stuff, but that happened before and never had much influence of diesel prices. It is important Ukraine keeps on attacking Russian oil infrastructure until the winter is actually there.   

So no link, just an image to get the feeling of how beautiful it looked in Moscow. The warmth of the fire is symbolic to the love between Russians and Ukrainians, or not?  

A very different subject is the Russian Geran drones in particular those later versions 4 and 5 that are jet powered. They seem to go about 600 km/hour and as such to fast for propeller driven drone interceptors. And Russia is still sending them in Ukraine basically 24/7 all day long. So not in attacks like a wave but a steady stream and of course that is highly frustrating to Ukrainians because almost all of the time air defense alarms are going off.  

A prototype of a new jet powered interceptor was shown, it has also that triangle shape so very different from the propeller driven drones that look ultra cool by the way. Again zero link but this is how they look, if they do their job good production can begin. That's easier said then done of course and I wish them luck with doing that upscaling as fast as possible.
And there is still the urgent problem of Russian ballistic missiles of course, lately the USA said new weapons could take up to five years...

 Item 2) New math post is published & ai assisted math research? 

Despite some delay due to some computer malware the new post is published on the other website. In itself the subject is totally not important, it is just a bunch of parametrizations. So it is not like a few posts back when I showed you the way to use primitives in spaces like say 3D space.

Also I found out they (the math folks) have a fundamental theorem for line integrals. I didn't know that but it is very simple and works with the gradient of a scalar field and of course the dot product because their imagination is strictly limited to that kind of stuff.

In the weird Navier-Strokes thing the Stand Up Math guy had more or less the best video out. What I find strange in all those video's out there about the Navier Stokes thing is that nobody remarks that Open AI could only find this because it was in their training data. So basically they stole it although it was inside the legal borders of their terms and services contract.

Let me give you a basic example:

Take just a bunch of number from the complex plane, so not from 3D space but from the complex plane. No matter how many numbers you have or what they are, if you add them up you will always stay inside the complex plane. You can't go outside the plane if all you can use are complex numbers from inside that very plane.

But the same will go for a token space by whatever ai you have. Ai's are trained on data and turn that into tokens that are used in making text or an image or a video.

A few years back Chat GPT came out and of course I was curious too. Well it was funny until I asked it what 3D complex numbers were. And highly fanatic the LLM claimed it was the imaginary part of the quaternions. Ok, that is in the ancient but also modern literature. But it was clear my other website was not used in it's training data.    

Now I almost never use ai's in any form let alone the LLM's. May be once or twice a year and that's it. But recently I asked an LLM again about 3D complex numbers and to my surprise the thing came up with more or less the next:

Some researchers think you should relate the imaginary unit to the dimension of the space.  

As far as I know there is only one 'researcher' who advocates this and that is me myself and I. Anyway it was clear now my other website with say 302 math posts now was in the training data of the LLM that I communicated with.

The point is LLM's have no original thought, they can't discover the 3D complex numbers because the only math they get is 2D complex numbers. Only when this 3D math is in the training data they know about it.

For centuries the mathematicians tried to find 3D complex numbers as an extension of the complex plane. So they always projected something as an imaginary unit that squared up to -1 just like in the complex plane.

But that never worked and they concluded 3D complex numbers do  not exist.  

And if humans already have so much trouble for thinking outside the box, in this case thinking outside the plane, how can any kind of LLM or whatever ai you have, find new math likely needed for the Riemann hypothesis or so?

Only today I heard this weird story of David Patreus and also Boris Johnson who was in the same train. Anyway their train came under drone attack near the Polish border (it was an outgoing train). Nobody knows but there is suspicion of Russia deliberately targeting this train in the pleasant knowledge the White House will not retaliate in any way for such an attack on a former CIA head. And from the same news outlet, the Kyiv Post, about possible mobilization. Now the Russian authorities relative cohered deny this in all kinds of tones. But the Russian army seems to use it into recruiting contract soldiers: Join now, sign a contract and avoid mobilization. Or something along those lines. Anyway it is hard to foresee the future but for myself speaking as a simple estimation I think it is more likely that there is mobilization versus no mobilization.
As long as the political leadership, Putin and the likes, think they can still win the war I think it is more likely as not.
If it goes on for Russia it will be very hard, logistics is already under tremendous pressure and getting a few hundred of thousand solders in Ukraine will be very hard. Here's the article:

A lot more did happen, there were 1960 Russian casualties and that was the 6-th deadliest day for Russia. A large amount of six aircraft were targeted. And last but not least the Yaroslav oil refinery was attacked, hopefully in the parts where diesel is made if you know what I mean...

I almost finished the next math post but unexpected my computer picked up some virus or some malware and that causes all kinds of delays. It is on an old computer that I haven's properly maintained for a few years so I do no longer have tip top clones to save the day.
Contrary to the past the only clone I could find was from 2019. But somewhere on another computer there must be a copy of a much more recent clone, anyway that is what my own brain told me today. But old memories are unreliable, may be I once in the past planned to do that but never did it and now years later you remember it as if you had done it. As if you had placed that clone on other computers.

I more or less use this old computer until it breaks down and now it is that far why not repair it all one more time? If it keeps working another three years that would be enough, as you see most of my computers go for a long time.     

Anyway that is the delay and the new post is almost finished, I have to polish the third addendum a bit more and that will look like below. That was from two years back when I made that parametrization with two cosines that had a time delay of one third of the period between them.

May be you have seen this famous cos and sine pair: (cos t, sin t). That are also two cosines if you take a quarter of a period delay between them and as you might know that gives a perfect circle.

It was amazing it actually worked but that was from two years back and in the new post I look at two different ellipses that are the complex exponentials from two different ways of multiplying complex numbers. So it is a bit of a repeat and a bit of new in the next math post.

Weirdly enough the White House seems to think yields could be much lower while it is their own policies that of course are driving this. And with that insane 5000 US$ for every citizen the federal deficit becomes what? 8 or 9% of GDP? I didn't calculate it. These people are a weird collection of pure incompetents, the Bessent guy is now a year or two explaining how easy it is to run down the pile of debt now standing at 40+ trillion. But he does only weird stuff. Or then the US military budget goes to 1.5 trillion and now this new madness. Well lets see how it all unfolds. It's just an image, no link attached.

The walking and talking sack of vomit known as the Donald came out explaining it was Ukraine that caused the high diesel prices? I didn't see it and I did not look it up because I do not want to listen to this walking turd. Just recently the US denied military assistance to the Saudis and now that pipeline is out that transported up to 5% of global oil demand. On top of that if in the USA is a shortage of diesel, may be that is because US refineries sell it abroad where they can make even more money.
But according to the walking and talking sack of vomit, it is Ukraine that is to blame. It is clear what dumb morally lowlife person we can blame for this all.

Luckily not all rich Americans are crazy and I came across an interview with Eric Schmidt so I was interested in it because after all Eric has a lot to do with some parts of the drone war. It struck me how pessimistic he sounded, yes the Russians are improving too because after all they are humans to. It looks like a lot of NATO countries are far behind when it comes to drone technology and applications of drone warfare. So yes as such a (military) confrontation with Russia could become very painful for the eastern flank of Europe. I share with Eric the danger of future drone swarms, there hardly is a limit imaginable about how powerful they can become. Like Eric said: A human cannot control a 1000 drones, but a computer can. That is a very bleak look at possible future battle fields...

As a contra point Paul Warburg had an amazing positive sounding video out. Now he is talking about some social research and in those cases it is important how the statistics work. I mean the collection of data and how to get to a conclusion, it is about are you happy or not. How many Ukrainians are happy and the weird result was that that levels of happiness have risen to prewar levels. If this all is correct this once more shows that attacks on civilians, the so called terror attacks, just do not work in the first place and have a opposite effect in the long run. After all news like appartment building hit here and gas stations attacked there is daily news. The title of the video is a bit strange because likely Putin will never read it and on top of that Putin is likely to stupid to make an estimation of this in case the research was correctly done. And last but not least some gossip news. Yes gossip level kind of news because it is about a wedding of a celebrity. Ok ok it is not a celebrity but one of those members from team Trump. His son Trump Jr. had an expensive wedding on a private isling paid for by a Russian oligarch close to Putin. Basically Putin paid for the wedding of the president of the USA's son.  Item 2) More Navier-Stokes fun & the fault in the Bell Theorem.

It was highly coincidental that one update after I tried to explain how a lot of ai systems work in my view, basically they just try to find the next token or may be a string of tokens, and that's it. A token can be anything the ai does, an LLM it's words and video and image generators it is pixels or something else as tokens.

As such it is impossible for an LLM to solve say a math problem in a new way, it can only work from it's training data and stays within the token space of that training data. Therefore the fact that Open AI came with a solution to the old Navier-Strokes problem of not blowing up in finite time, could only be done because people like the Buckmaster guy using the ai tools from Open AI.

Of course Open AI did not steal or so, it is just elementary applications of the terms and conditions that apply to using the algo's from Open AI. It's all legal and real people from the real world must not have silly complains.

I came across one of those video's again where some folks claim they disprove what Einstein thought when it comes to things like the Bell theorem. To be a bit more precise: They think they prove that hidden variables are not possible. 

I have never seen a correct proof, they all have the same mistake and likely that dates back to the good old Pauli but I never checked that historical detail.

Anyway, they claim to use the so called hidden variables but as a matter of fact they do not do that at all. When the actual calculations is done, they always use the probabilistic nature of measuring electron spin. Well the fantasy version of electron spin is what they use, that stuff with  the cosine of half the angle of measurement.

There is, as far as I know after 11 years now, no experimental evidence for such a cosine rule at all. Where for photons their slightly different cosine rule is validated in thousands of optical labs in a lot of universities, there is no repeated Stern-Gerlach experiment validating usage of this rule.

The lady from IBM is talking about two particles with a total spin of zero, for example an electron pair. And if you like me think that electron spin is a monopole magnetic charge that is permanent, no flipping or so, it is obvious that you will find very high correlations in actual experiments. In theory there is 100% correlation in the sense that the measured spins must always be opposite, but in practice often something goes wrong so you get almost 100%.

All in all it is a very bad video because so much information is lacking like the fact such experiments have never been done successfully. So once more we observe that when it comes to electron spin the official version of the physics community is and stays that collection of crap and the idiots themselves say to each other all our results are at least at a five sigma level...

Now you might wonder if it is true that with just a few days of experiments you can validate if electrons are magnetic monopoles or that indeed magnetic monopoles do now exist and therefore they are tiny bipolar magnets, why does nobody do such experiments?

The answer lies in the behavior of the individual scientists, they only do stuff that advances their career and literally nothing else. Even mentioning my name is likely a death sin, I call this the Onno von Strohn effect. That is not the real name but it is based on a university  guy who once literally said to me:

Since it is a little bit strange that a government buys back it's own debt given the present circumstances I was thinking "May be some of the US debt holders think now is a good time to cash out now prices are still high".

Yesterday I heard the news that a 1000 Patriot interceptors were going to Ukraine and I thought well that is very good news. But upon reading it the news became a bit sour so to say, these are old plans going back to the 90 billion € loan backed by the frozen Russian financial assets. It's now more or less formalized but given the present shortage of interceptors it will take years of production to fill the demand for these things.

As a matter of fact it takes so many years that of course Ukraine is trying other things and ways like developing their own interceptors for ballistic missiles. I wish them luck with that of course. Here's an article from yesterday or when you read it likely two days old or more:

  Item 2) Turbulence around Navier-Stokes & Entanglement stuff.

Just as I in a very rough manner described how I think LLM's work, all of a sudden there are claims by Open AI and two math guys about a counter example of the famous Navier-Stokes equations.  

It was claimed they had a solution that blew up in finite time, a limit approaching one in some kind of norm was infinite and if true that is interesting news. So somehow they figured out some runaway process that very likely can never be imitated in say real water or air. The Navier-Stokes equations don't work with molecules or atoms and the Open AI thing was blowing up along a line. 

I did not save a video link or so but I considered the video from Sabine Hossenfelder the best because she sounded a lot like she has actually studied that equation in it's more simple forms.

If you have followed the news around this subject you might be surprised about how emotional this all is going. A particular person was not allowed to have his name on an article because he worked at Anthropic, likely Open AI has stolen the stuff from the NYU prof who used beside Anthropic stuff also Open AI tools and soon it because a soap series of emotional stuff.  

This all does not take away that I still think all those language models are pretty useless. They might have value as a tool for research just like an electronic calculator is a better replacement compared to the old sliding ruler. And without doubt in the long run we will nave nice ai's but it's still far far away from say animal based intelligence.

Now originally I planned to write a bit around the original EPR paper because that philosopher Tim Moudlin said there was zero electron spin in that only position and momentum.

I didn't know that, I thought that John Bell made all that spin stuff up because after all now we call it a Bell state where supposedly two particles are maximally correlated or entangled as the story goes.

Do the next simple thought experiment:

Two particles get created on the same spot and as such they are 'entangled'. Suppose they fly in opposite directions with say a speed each of 600 km per second. For an electron that is a very modest speed, say the two particles are an electron and a positron.

In an attempt to measure the speed of say the electron you must somehow get to know it's kinetic energy and or momentum. But if you do so any measurement will always change the particle in this case the electron's kinetic energy or direction and momentum.

Now do you believe that if the electron is stopped that the other particle, the positron, will also stop? Stop in the middle of it's movement only because the electron was stopped?  

No sane person believes such a thing, it is not logical in any shape or form. But if you talk electron spin like Bell did, why is he the genius? Well nobody understands electron spin so the people, the physics people, project all kinds of magical things on it. That is normal human behavior by the way, for example quantum computers will bring us all kinds of new materials and complex chemicals but nobody explains how that supposedly works.

Another important example is the present ai-hype, because nobody precisely know what is going on under the hood all kinds of magical things like AGI get constantly projected on it. 

May be next week I can dive a bit deeper into it, in the meantime I finished a new math post. Ok it is only Latex version now but the conversion to images for the internet can begin.

By the way, it was Bohm who did the electron spin thing to the EPR paradox and article so that later John Bell wrote down the famous super positions that of course have zero experimental evidence... 

Electron magnetism is not bipolar but electrons are magnetic monopoles and this magnetic charge is permanent. So it is not probabilistic and John Bell was totally one hundred percent wrong with his idea's.

For myself speaking I too think all that chaos associated with US governments like this will give a lot of long lasting damage. But, as a counter example, if you see a large tree in the autumn shedding all it's leaves you do not say 'Wow that tree is killing itself' or that it is eating itself alive. And a reset would be very welcome, why if a EU nations trades with another non EU nation the payments go in dollars? What's wrong with we using € or Yuan and China does the same? What has been build and maintained for decades get eroded in just a few years. And of course it is not coming back anytime soon, just like say the Dutch gold that was still held inside the USA. Now it is transported and also sold inside the USA and as such transferred to Londen and I guess our own vaults. Of course in this century our gold will never return to the USA.

I myself don't want to comment on the two US clowns visiting the Kremlin and meeting with Putin while later going to Kyiv. That is the news I love to skip too, beside annoying it is totally irrelevant what mental dwarfs like that do. But it's late and as always the clock says we must skip all other news like a relative large swath of land more or less taken back by Ukraine. So lets go to the next item.

Last week I said that after my understanding all that ai stuff is just things that try to find or predict the next token. If it a token of a word or pixels of an image video or a sound token, it's all that statistical stuff of finding the next token or may be in the future, the next batch of tokens in one go. 

As far as I can see it, this has almost nothing to do with say animal based intelligence. Beside this a lot of people claim nobody understands what is going on inside all those GPU's from NVIDEA and the likes. So it has that in common with quantum mechanics where the professionals often brag that they do not understand their own science. And yes I can confirm that, quantum scientists do not understand their own stuff at all like in so often mentioned here; electron spin. In the ai world it is much more a bunch of amateurs, the fraction of raw scientists is much lower.

For myself speaking I am totally amazed as why so much money gets invested, companies like Google gobbling up long term debt for a bunch of GPU's that will have lost their value in just a few years. Why?   

The video is more for fun and somewhere it is shown that three ai's have to count to 100 and there you see the whole mess of LLM's that are basically brainless but have a giant dictionary of tokens at their proposal. For example an LLM does not understand that say 7 is smaller as 64 unless that is stored in their memory somewhere. Of course they could have asked the LLM for a list of the first 100 numbers because such a list is likely in their training data, but present LLM's do not combine all the knowledge they have unless asked to. I myself do not use LLM's, sometimes with an internet search of only if it is not important or it obvious is when the info from the LLM is wrong yes or no. The whole video is about half an hour so you don't have to watch the whole thing but the above fragments are hilarious enough.

That's it for this update, as a sobering end in my country 39% of the 15 year olds cannot read properly. And it's so serious that these people run the risk of just standing outside society for the rest of their lives. Reading is an important skill but in my entire street I only see one family going to the library for their kids. That is not good.

The news was from yesterday and it looked a tiny bit very strange: UA security forces shooting at each other? Today I did not have enough time or better: I was doing other things, but it seems some arrest was made without any paperwork or so. Anyway this goes far beyond what can be named healthy rivalry when the talking is done with live ammo. Ukrainians should not shoot each other, that's obvious. Anyway the next link is from yesterday:

Very different but also from the Kyiv Independent is the plan from Ukraine to more or less permanently close the Russian air space. The Russians lately have changed tactics and now fire pairs of drones around the clock and no longer waves with huge numbers of drones. That causes air alerts to go off around the clock and of course the Ukrainians get more and more pissed. So this looks like a permanent thing around the clock from Ukraine: Closure of Russian air space. And there is also the ambitious plane to raise the number of daily drones to one thousand, with that you can indeed constantly have drones on a lot of places like airports.

  Item 2) Stuff wrong with Bell's theorem, explained clearly.

This video is from a channel named 'Abide by reason' and I picked it because the guy is relatively good at explaining stuff. Ok ok it is all wrong because as far as I know the original formulation of the Bell theorem was with electron spins and now in the year 2026 at least I understand that likely electron magnetic bipolarism is a fantasy and electrons are magnetic monopoles and at the same time electric monopoles.

Please remark that all kinds of probabilities he mentioned like the 50/50 split have zero experimental validation. He also does not mention that all experiments done and also the ones where Nobel prizes have been awarded for are not with electrons but with photons.

And since I think that the magnetic charge of electrons is a permanent feature, just like the electric charge, that explains the polarization results in all those experiments. He mentions the John Clauser experiment and there the photons always had the same linear polarization because they were created by the same electron. John used cascading electrons in a lamp he had build himself so from the moment of creation the photons had the same polarization. In words of the Bell theorem: Everything is explained by local stuff, there is no need to assume all that spooky action at a distance kind of bs.

It is a piece of cake and can be done in one afternoon or so to do the next experiment if you have access to an optics lab: 

Split one photon in a pair using one of those parametric down conversion crystals. In the Nobel prize experiments they had opposite polarization so likely these photons are made by an electron pair jumping up and down the potential energy of a molecule or atom.
Anyway send one of the photons through a quarter wave plate, that will change it's polarization from linear to circular. Check if the other photon is circular or linear polarized. (Likely the experiment must be done many times because for circular photons the direction of the polarizer measurement is irrelevant, so in all directions you should have the same ratio of hits hence you need a lot of repetition I think.)

Anyway an amazing lot of stuff presented a fact in this video is not backed by experiment in any shape or form. There is no repeated Stern-Gerlach experiment, but guys like the abide by reason do not care. They never say it's at problem, at best you get some nonsense about the fragility of quatum states and as such there experiments are very difficult. Or they claim that such experiments have been done many many times, well after 11 years I am still searching...

You wonder if there really is a market for stuff like that, may be it is something for Shoigu who got a beautiful house from his daughter when she turned 18. As you see, Russian kids love their parents much much more compared to the spoiled bratz that our western daughters are who, parasites as they are, expect their parents to help with housing. Very different and much less funny is thinking about a possible escalation of the war into European nations in general and the small states in the Baltic and so on. Because yes there is a serious possibility that the USA will skip her basic NATO obligations. Well I've said it before and many more have said it, we must think serious about a NATO without the USA. I can't help it, lunatics rule the asylum and that is just a fact of life.

For the time it looks like a silly day dream, Putin gone... But the war becomes more and more damaging to Russia itself so at one point people will have enough of it because what fucking stupid purpose does this war serve? But it is late so lets skip all the rest of the news surrounding UA. 

 Item 2) Oops, a correction & Internet of bugs on fundamental AI flaws.

Last week I published the latest update and was winding down sipping some beer and relaxed and looked at that image again. All of a sudden I was like OH MY GOD! Did I really write that? Well yes I did write that, may be on a subconscious level I was trying to make a fool of myself for at least five centuries of time.  

Later I could laugh about it but as soon as I could the next day I repaired the text without that horrible fault. But I did not change last weeks advertisement picture because I had it saved only in a png format. So here you can still see why I was a bit upset:

Look at the integral with dz/z. That is just a way of calculating a logarithm because the derivative of a log is an inverse. But it should start at 1 of course and not at 0 what is the most stupid choice possible. I think I made this fault because my mind was already busy with the parametrization and yes there the stuff has to start at zero. Or, as an alternative explanation, these are the first signs of Alzheimers.... ;)

At last a very different thing. The LLM's that they try to sell to us as AI in the sense it is truly artificial intelligence, there is all kinds of important stuff missing compared to living biological intelligence. LLM's do not have a body to interact with the environment, it is just a projection they use only language. Reality gets projected on language or whatever you can tokanize and the ai only manipulates tokens within this space of tokens.

That's all, it is impressive how say these chatbots can talk but is this worth a trillion dollar or euro? No of course not, just a few percent of such astronomical cost and take your time say 10 or 15 years and there can be nice products. But the tech bro's want to make us believe that LLM's can say solve the Rieman hypothesis? No, they just don't do original thinking...
