(27 June 2025) So I
finally once more cleaned up this very homepage, if for some
strange reason you need to read older stuff you can go to the
archive at the end of this long page. Just scroll down.
Item 1) The NATO top
& Ukraine has now a kit for their own glide bombs.
Item 2) Nice Vera Rubin picture & more on entangled photons.
Item 1) The NATO top & Ukraine has now a kit for their own
glide bombs.
The NATO top was a
success because of the new commitment to a whopping 5% of GDP and
to defense and security outlays. Well I was against it because of
a lot of reasons and too much money isn't good for all kinds of
efficiencies and the likes.
Lets look at another
detail; those new weight loss medicine there is lately. The USA
has a notorious inefficient health care system and such a medicine
can cost a 1000 $ a month over there. And in Europe such kind of
medicine sets you only back 150 € a month. Now I don't want a
future EU military and production of military hardware to be such
terrible inefficient. Of course there must be plenty of funding
after so many years of underfunding but I think 5% is too much...
A Reuters report on this stuff:

Report title: Europe placates Trump with NATO pledges it can ill afford.
Link used: https://www.reuters.com/business/aerospace-defense
/europe-placates-trump-with-nato-pledges-it-can-ill-afford-2025-06-25/
A very different
detail is the new glide bomb kit the Ukrainians have made, I think
it is still in development or may be they have a product that only
need to be scaled up in production. I don't know.
Anyway they were a
pain in the ass for Ukraine a long time so it is good they can do
a little bit back of the same. It seems that the Ukrainians have
plenty of FAB 500 bombs from the Sovjet era. As the name suggests,
it contains 500 kg of explosives so must have very very good
health insurance in case you are to close to the explosion...
Suchominus as always
working hard to get nice video's out has also a video on these
glide bombs. They sure look cool although I would not like the
sight of it in our own skies.

Video title: First Use of Ukraine's New UMPK Glidebomb Kit on FAB 500.
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVsy1W2NTLw
All in all this week
could have gone much more worse so therefore I am positive about
all stuff related to military things. So spend all that money
wisely and lets now go to the next item.
Item
2) Nice Vera Rubin picture & more on entangled photons.
Stunning, they look
absolutely stunning these images from the new Vera Rubin
telescope. Now a guy named Scott Manley said that the thing can
see six colors, the usual red, green and blue and also light the
human eye can't see. So likely infrared and may be also UV
radiation.
Likely already a few of those outside the human color spectrum
colors are used because those images look a bit different to say
all older stuff.

This telescope has
crazy specs; it has the largest camera ever and it can scan the
entire southern hemisphere in 3 nights of observation. So this
looks like a game changer for astronomy just like the Hubble
telescope was back in the time.
In a very different
area I looked a bit more at the down conversion stuff where one
photon gets split in two. In the last update we looked at Marissa
Giustine who spoke about horizontal and vertical polarization of
the two photons. But I also came across a video of a commercial
product where the photon pairs produced were of the same linear
polarization. So there are all kinds of different so called
non-linear crystals out there. May be I was a bit premature with
saying that may be the incoming high energy photon ejects and
entire electron pair into a higher orbital. Because if another
crystal splits a photon in two and those photons are identical,
that would undermine my idea of an electron pair jumping.
May be there are more
mechanisms that lead to this photon splitting because there is
also a lot of photon splitting in two photons with unequal energy
further dismanteling electron pair jump as a possible explanation
source.
All those years since
I heard from these very strange experiments that violate the so
called Bell inequality I always assumed that any photon pair will
do. Simply because one higher energy photon becomes two, that is
why physics people think they are entangled. But in the video it
is claimed it is much more complicated, only when that signal
photon and idler photon are in the two little square boxes in the
picture below, they are entangled.
And why? Well there
you can't know if they have a horizontal or a vertical
polarization... I don't know what to think of that, it sounds a
lot like all that stuff that (human) consciousness has influence
on quantum processes. After smoking enough weed that might look
reasonable but I think it is wooly wooly talk. Human consciousness
has nothing to do with it.
Anyway it is getting
late so all that is left for you to click on the picture if you
want to see that video that only makes me confused.

Ok that was it for
this week, again it could have been much worse so let us rejoice
in the fact it didn't happen.
(25 June 2025) Lets go
directly to the two items of this update because looking at say
the Iranian situation takes to much time. Lets go:
Item 1) Why this weird
5% norm & Yummy, Russians eating Russians.
Item 2) Nice news from Marissa Giustine on photon behavior.
Item
1) Why this weird 5% norm & Yummy, Russians eating Russians.
It never came to it to
discuss this 5% norm that now for some reason gets serious
implementation or so? Yes it was 2%, that is what countries more
or less had to abide to but for a long time did not do. Two
percent of GDP to defense. Ok ok after at least one but often at
least two decades of underspending on defense, some countries can
decide of course what they want to do. After all they are
sovereign in that matter.
But going to five
percent is far to much, that only encourages inefficiencies on a
giant scale. New and more weapon systems should have it's own
military logic, for example it should multiply existing stuff. Not
some arbitrary political threshold of say 5%.
Today the next picture emerged, it's not all for defense but also
that more vague security whatever that may mean. The TLDR folks
had a video on the matter and they made the correct observation
that there exists no other form of government spending that has a
percentage of GDP as target.
Click on the picture for their video:

Video title: The Big Problem With NATO's New 5% Target
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udxtglKVrAc
The second video is
very different and to be honest it did not go very much upon the
likely gory details of Russian soldiers eating other soldier
corpses. But it's from someone that lives in Ukraine, I don't know
if he is a Ukrainian because his last name is Robertson and not
something like Robertsonsky. Here is his video:

Video title: Russian soldiers are now eating each other.
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xr0w5690-5I
And as always I had to
skip an awful lot of stuff but my clock says go to the next item
so I will obey the clock for this time.
Item 2) Nice news from Marissa Giustine on photon behavior.
It was last week or
the week before that I brought up that crystal that physicist use
to create what they call entangled pairs of photons. That is the
process of parametric down conversion where one photon of light
splits into two photons with the same energy.
For a number of years
I explained this as may be the absorption of the higher energy
photon causes an electron pair to jump up and fall down again and
as such it will produce two photons.
And if my idea's about
electrons as being magnetic monopoles, these two photons would
have opposite circular polarization. And now this lady, Marissa
Giustine comes along and she has worked five years on a
realization of the Bell experiment and she had the next to
say:
The two photons
have different linear polarization, one is vertical and the other
is horizontal polarized.
And again I know
nothing about how circular polarized photons act through a linear
polarizer but of course it is an important observation that at
least the linear polarization is different. So it can't be
excluded that indeed an electron pair is jumping up and down.
Back in the year 2015
when I started to look into the question if indeed electrons were
tiny magnets as the official version is versus my intuition that
likely they are magnetic monopoles, year in year out I ran into
dozens of things. And all of those things said that it is not
excluded that the magnetic properties of electrons are just as
their electric properties: permanent & monopole.
And if my version of
jumping electron pairs is correct, likely that explains the high
correlation you find in those Bell experiments. This is just what
they name a "loophole" or along Einstein there are
"hidden variables that we don't know of".
Now I would not name
it a hidden variable but more a hidden constant; it is the
permanent monopole character of electron spin that causes the high
correlations found... But try to explain that to Marissa...
Those Bell experiments
are often hard to grasp in one go what is going on. So if you have
never heard of them, it is not uncommon it takes a few days before
you have a good oversight over all the stuff involved. As always
click on the picture for the video:

Video title: Marissa Giustina: Significant loophole-free test of Bell’s theorem with entangled photons.
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgoWM4Jcl-s
At last I want to
remark that Marissa is an experimentalist and as such I hold those
people more reliable. Anyway much more reliable compared to
shallow thinking theoreticals that have ingrained all that weird
stuff like "And look now the electron anti-aligns itself and
that's why it is moving in that direction". All that crap and
all caused by the silly belief that magnetic monopoles do not
exist.
That was it for this
post, if you made it till here thanks for your attention.
(20 June 2025) A guy
named Jesse Dollomore came out with some hilarious story: The new
Trump phone, the T1, is made in China. Jesse also observed that
miracle miracle smart phones have no tariffs on them. Likely
Donald did not want to pay tariff stuff himself, who knows.
So I was wrong by
often stating it is all so chaotic because those phone tariffs
lifted was something from April or so. And in the present day and
age that is almost an infinite long time ago so from that point of
view you can even say that Donald is a strategic player, someone
that only goes for important long term goals... Click on the
picture for Jesse's video:

Video title:
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=il6BkhpjV_E
On top of that you can
get this phone for 169 dollar at Amazon. If it's all true in that
case we can claim that only if every detail is fake, it's an authentic
Donald Trump. Lets go to the items of today:
Item 1) When will the
Russians have ran out of tanks?
Item 2) New post finely published; 3 experiments compared.
Item
1) When will the Russians have ran out of tanks?
May be it was all a
bit coincidental but a few times this last week there were such so
low numbers of Russian tanks destroyed. Only one or two on at
least three days if memory serves. You might think that slowly
those old stockpiles must have run dry while of course the
Russians likely have gotten better at repairing the most rusty old
damaged tank. Who knows.

But there wasn't that
much news, ok this year Ukraine's National Guard claims to have
taken out almost 600 Russian tanks. Article:
Ukraine’s National Guard destroys nearly 600 Russian tanks in 2025 – Commander.
Link used: https://www.ukrinform.net/rubric-ato/
4005528-ukraines-national-guard-destroys-nearly-600-russian-
tanks-in-2025-commander.html
From just a couple of
months back an article with a much more somber approach and ok one
article is not a statistic of course but I would like to hear the
news that less and less tanks are deployed by Russia.
Russia Is a Tank Superpower, Even After Losing 3,000 in Ukraine.
Link used: https://www.19fortyfive.com/2025/02/russia-
is-a-tank-superpower-even-after-losing-3000-in-ukraine/
Lets go to the next
item.
Item
2) New post finely published; 3 experiments compared.
It took a bit more
time as estimated but that's no problem because after all it is
just a hobby so I don't have any deadlines to make. It really
doesn't matter if I post it a week later yes or no.
For myself speaking I
found it funny to compare these three physics experiments because
even such a simple sample of physics experiments already have a
ton of weird stuff in them.
You have all those
philosophy of quantum mechanics academics talking about the
fundamental character of quantum mechanics in general and
measuring electron spin in particular. Well in the two
experiments, the Einstein-de Haas effect and Fermilab's g-2
experiment, regardless of the magnetic field all electrons do the
same.
Nothing probabilistic over there and I have experienced that
always when something get a bit weird to outright crazy, the
physics people always just ignore that.
That for example the
anti-alignment of an electron, that is very very strange if you
think about it. Or do physics professors not think about their own
science?
I forgot to make a
picture for this update so I use an old picture from below where
you can see that despite the vertical magnetic field that makes
the muons go round in circles anyway, the direction of the spin
does not change. In itself this is also an energy problem; how can
the spin stay horizontal if it is true that it is a tiny
magnet?
So now there is no
torque on the muons and we just don't explain it. Can we have more
funding so we can do more physics like we just finished, we
are so good at working at the boundary of
science...

That was it for this
week, we will get a few very hot days so let me wish you much
coolness. Until another update.
(18 June 2025) It
looks like the world needs more and more war and as such the
Israelis decided to wage war on Iran. And all this political shit
emerging since say 2022 only keeps normal humans away from the
long term problems we have like the climate thing. Well it is what
it is, lets go to the two items of today.
Item 1) The WSJ on the
F-35, attack on Kyiv & chemical ammo.
Item 2) A terrible wiki to read for yourself.
Item
1) The WSJ on the F-35, attack on Kyiv & chemical ammo.
The Wall Street
Journal had a short video (about 5 min) on why European countries
are all of a sudden much more hesitant to transfer to the F-35. I
am in favor of much more EU warplanes and as little as possible
dependence on the USA for advanced weapon systems like a F-35.
Of course I am well aware that piece by piece the F-35 might be
better but there is no reason EU planes will not improve over time
and may be we need a bit more quantity and a little less quality.
Beside that the role of drones is still evolving the way war's
will be fought in the future, may be in a year or five you can do
much more with a big drone swarm compared to say an F-35. Click on
the picture for the short WSJ video:

Video title: Can Europe Replace America’s F-35 Fighter Jet? | WSJ
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFFP24_UH1U
Russia staged a large
attack on Kyiv resulting in at least 10 confirmed dead and many
wounded. It's the present main article on the Kyiv Post:
Article title: ‘It Was Pure Hell’: Russian Strikes Kill at Least 10 in
Kyiv, Target Multiple Ukrainian Cities in Overnight Barrage.
Link used:
https://www.kyivpost.com/post/54627
The second video is
from Suchominus and for some weird reason again I have a Dutch
title and the translation is as bad as possible. It is a Russian
GRAD, that's an MLRS artillery system, and that gets translated to
"College graduate" but then in Dutch: "Afgestudeerde".
So despite all that talk about ai and how it will replace our jobs
and stuff, there is still room for improvement of translation of
elementary things like the titles of video's...
The video itself if a
more serious subject that is very irritating for a long time and
that is the use of forbidden chemicals by Russia. Ok it is not mustard
gas or more serious stuff but still it is a not allowed
substance.
The video is about the
taking of such a GRAD BM-21:

Video title: BM-21-afgestudeerde naar verluidt met chemische munitie vernietigd in Loehansk.
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTDVO5MpqRA
It is already late so lets go to the next item.
Item
2) A terrible wiki to read for yourself.
I more or less
finished the latest post on the other website where I compare
three experiments that all use a vertical magnetic field. And then
I look if in the explanation of such an experiment there are what
I call weird energy problems.
For example the most simple of such weird problems is when an
electron does the anti-alignment thing with an applied magnetic
field. A more complicated energy problem is the electron pair
where the Pauli exclusion principle says that the electrons must
have opposite spins. That is they must have different quantum
numbers and as such the logical consequence is that the magentic
fields of the electrons in an electron pair much be anti aligned.
These kind of energy problems are of course crazy stuff and they
all disappear if you take the electron as having a monopole
magnetic charge. Just like it's electric charge: permanent and
monopole.
Anyway for the post I
needed some pictures from the diverse experiments I was looking at
and as such I looked into a wiki of the Stern-Gerlach experiment.
That is something I would generally not do these years because for
me there is nothing new to learn in such behavior. But now I had
to because I needed a graphic of the setup of the S-G experiment.
And there it was
again, in all it's shining glory: Repeated Stern-Gerlach
experiments and how electrons ought to behave according to the
high priest of theoretical physics: Probabilistic.
So I was curious
because my estimation is that these experiments have never
been conducted or if they have they all failed and as such nothing
got published. After 10 years of looking for it, I still haven't
found anybody who has done such repeated S-G experiments...
And now, if you want
anyway, you can look for it yourself in the next wiki:

I remember in the
first years that I was very intimidated by all that stuff and that
bragging that physics is a so called "Five sigma
science". And if indeed electrons have a permanent magnetic
state, so the spin can't be flipped by definition, no quantum
computer based on electron spin will ever function.
Anyway in one or two
days the new post will be published on the other website about 3D
complex numbers. That was it for this update, thanks for your
attention and have a nice summer.
(13 June 2025) Roughly
speaking the US federal budget is about 7 trillion while tax
revenue is about 5 trillion so about a deficit of 2 trillion. (If
memory serves deficit was a bit less like a 1850 billion number.)
Anyway about 2/7-th of the federal budget is borrowed or about 28%
of the budget.
That also goes for the
interest paid on the outstanding debt, so about 28% of the coupons
that investors receive is borrowed money. Now the US sec of the
treasury Scott Bessent constantly says:
With the tax cuts will
come more economical growth and that brings in more revenue and
the federal deficit will fall back to 3% or to the growth rate of
the economy.

So will that happen?
No of course not, right now already 28% is not taxed but borrowed
so why does that money not do it's magical economical growth? Do
you get my point: Why should the future tax cuts do their magical
promise while present borrowed money already does not deliver such
weird fantasies?
Lets go to today's items:
Item 1) A symbolic
milestone: one million Russian casualties.
Item 2) A weird video channel named Dimensional Algebra.
Item
1) A symbolic milestone: one million Russian casualties.
Of course in practice
this is a meaningless number, it's derives a bit symbolic value
because one million is a very rounded number so to say in our 10
digit number system.
Now I already wanted
to post a video from a guy named Jason Smart a few times but every
time I wanted to do that something else came up. Jason also has a
lot of video's covering the economical situation in Russia so if
your interested in stuff like that I highly recommend him in case
you have never seen Jason.
Video title: De Russische bevolkingscrash: de stille crisis waar niemand over praat.
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GIvYMsxgCc
Weirdly enough youtube
instantly gives me the video's with already Dutch titles, well
that's unhandy but it's about the slow Russian population crash
that is still going on in the background.
Well I skipped a whole
lot of news, it could be that the new US defense budget has no
money for military aid to Ukraine in it while it was also reported
that 25 thousand anti drone ammo were withdrawn or withheld from
Ukraine so it could go to the middle east... We all know this
present US government just can't be trusted with just everything.
Lets go to the next item.
Item 2) A weird video channel named Dimensional Algebra.
I watched a few
video's from this channel and all of a sudden I saw a video with
those elliptic complex numbers I found a few years ago. Yes indeed
that funny 2D math stuff where we now had i^3 = -1 instead
of i^2 = -1.
And the ai voice of
the video also had a conjugate that looked alright so it all
became a bit magical because in 35 years of time I never ever saw
somebody doing that right in case it was more difficult as
replacing a + with a minus sign.
On top of that he also
had an expression for the complex exponential on that plane of
elliptical complex numbers and I did not check it but it looked
alright.
So that was all a bit
of a true miracle, had I finally found my master in math to serve
as a humble slave? Well not so fast, in a video on what is called
virtual numbers the ai voice defines and imaginary unit j
in the following way:
j
:= ln(-1).
And after that he
arrives at the conclusion that 2j = 0 because:
ln(-1)
+ ln(-1) = ln(1) = 0.
Oops, long before the
complex logarithm on the complex plane was understood, some people
thought this to be true but such stuff is a relation that only
holds on the real line of positive numbers. In higher dimensional
complex spaces such a simple rule does not work all the time,
often it is more complicated but it is always beautiful.
My guess is that the
human owner of that youtube channel Dimensional Algebra has
borrowed a bit of math from my other website. That's a bit naughty
of course but I don't mind. At least he, if it's a he, tries to
find and craft higher dimensional number systems. So he is excused
as far as I am concerned. Here is a link to his channel
page:

Video channel title: Dimensional Algebra
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/@D-Algebra
As an example I have
another video from this channel and now he does not calculate j
+ j but now he claims that j^2 = 0 zero without any
revelation as why this is the case. So all in all it is an
interesting channel but not all details in all video's are thought
through enough.
Lets leave it with
that for this week and thanks for your attention.
(11 June 2025)
Normally the text on the homepage should be at most 500
pixels wide but last time I checked it was much wider. I have no
idea what causes this, most often this is a hyperlink that causes
problems in the width because a hyperlink does not contain any
spaces and as such it is just one very wide word to the computer.
So I don't know what causes it and I don't know how to solve it
but it is not a very deadly problem. It is more an annoying thing,
a thing say like Russians or so. Lets go to the two items for
today:
Item 1) What is a SAR
radar & F16 downs SU34, but how.
Item 2) Fermilab strikes again with a miracle energy problem.
Item 1) What is a SAR radar & F16 downs SU34, but how.
The Americans have not
always been a reliable partner for Ukraine when it comes to intel
they need and use. Now they seem to get a feed from a Japanese satellite
radar system that also can see through clouds and at night because
ha ha ha, it's a radar... I never heard from that stuff, it is
called a SAR radar or something like that and a guy named Wes
O'Donell had a video about it. Now I don't know much about such
systems but it looks useful for Ukraine to me, the resolution of
the stuff is not bad so who knows where it can help. So a little
THANKS to Japan!

Video title: What Japan's SECRET Radar Deal Means for Ukraine.
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uoaRMM5Q1M
For a couple of days
it is rumored that a Russian SU34 was shot down by a Ukrainian
F16. The details are interesting because likely in a similar way
lately in the Pakistan-India conflict a few Mirage planes were
also taken out.
Now back in the time
when I too pushed hard for deliveries of our old F16's to Ukraine
I did not know that later they would get a Swedish version of an
AWACS. But now they them, they are made by SAAB by the way and it
seems the F16 can fire a missile while the Swedish AWACS has a
data line to that missile and told it where to go. So both the F16
and the fired missile do not use any radar signals at all and as
such the SU 35 never saw it coming... Anyway that is how the story
goes and it sounds very plausible. Here is how that Swedish AWACS
looks, you see it looks very different from the 'standard'
AWACS because such planes always have a huge radar with them. The
video is from a guy with the nickname AfterBurner and I don't know
if that's a good idea... Anyway I use my ass for other things and
not use it as an after burner...;)
As always click on the picture for the video:
Video title: Ukraine's F-16 Stuns Russia’s Su-35 in Historic Air Battle!
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuCDudTrmDc
As always we have
skipped a thousand things but it is time to go to the next
item.
Item
2) Fermilab strikes again with a miracle energy problem.
Last week Fermilab
came out once more with fresh runs of their so called muon g-2
experiment and as such I decided to write a new post for the other
website about three experiments that all involve a vertical
magnetic field and electrons or, as in the case of fermilab muons,
and look at the explanations given. The three experiments are:
1) The good ol Stern-Gerlach
experiment from 1922,
2) The Einstein-de Haas effect and
3) The new Fermilab result from 2025.
And then look at the
three experiments asking two questions:
1) Are there weird
energy problems like anti-alignment of electrons?
2) Does probability play a role in the outcome of the experiment?
The hilarious or funny
situation is that if you accept one of the official explanations
for one of the experiments, that invalidates the other
explanations.
For example in the
Stern-Gerlach experiment we find weird energy problems because in
order for the silver atoms to gete moved by just one unpaired
bipolar electron, half of them must anti align with the vertical
magnetic field. Therefore this experiment is often used as an
example of the fundamental probabilistic character of the outcome
of quantum measurements. That is important in quantum computing so
can we get a bit more funding please?
But if in the Einsteid-de Haas effect you would have this
probabilistic 50/50 behavior of spin up / spin down, there would
be no effect by definition. Therefore in all explanations of the
Einstein-de Haas effect the probabilistic side of stuff is simply
neglected and now it is logical that 100% of the unpaired
electrons behave the same because the magnetic field applies a
torque on them...
Welcome in the world
of advanced talking out of your neck: The world of explanations of
the magnetic properties of electrons.
The Fermilab is also
pretty crazy: The muons, close cousins of the electrons, go around
pretty fast almost the speed of light. And a strong vertical
magnetic field is applied to make them go around by something
known as the Lorentz force but now weirdly enough the magnetic
spins of the muons stay horizontal... On top of that they know,
without any meaningful explanation or so, that every round the
muon spin increases by 12 degrees as shown in a schematic version
of the experiment. Also completely unexplained is why the muons
don't feel the torque.

It took me some time
to find that crazy picture back but I remembered it well: the spin
stays horizontal and that was not explained once more. Here is a
link to that picture:
How do subatomic muons “wobble” in a magnetic field? Comparing precision measurements with theoretical calculations provides a stringent test of the
Standard Model of particle physics.
Link used: https://www.bnl.gov/science/g-2/index.php
In general when
professional physics people try to explain something with electron
spin in it, they only use stuff that sounds logical while skipping
all the stuff that is crazy batshit.
That's all I had today
so let me thank you for your attention while I with the smart
people from Fermilab a good even longer lasting sleep as where
they are now in.
(06 June 2025) There
was talk about a possible new tax in the USA on foreign investors.
Not the usual dividend withholding tax but also a capital gains
tax of say 20% or so. It had the weird name 'revenge tax' and it
could be applied to foreigners if the Trump administration decides
that your government is doing weird tax stuff themselves...
Well that will help enormously with creating trust so that
foreigners will buy stuff like US securities and bonds. I think
I'll pass or as they say: "Thanks, but no thanks".
Lets go to the items of this update:
Item 1) More Spiderweb
footage & A report on Russian progress.
Item 2) Video on the John Bell theorem (about 45 mins).
Item 1) More Spiderweb footage & A report on Russian progress.
Day by day more
footage is released and Suchominus had a few new video's but lots
of other channels have it too of course. Also in my own country
the generals are pondering if their precious row of F35's is as
safe as supposed to be.
As a weird side effect
someone remarked that the USA demanded from Ukraine some drone
fighting stuff back because they might need it at home now it is
in the open that these kind of attacks like operation Spiderweb
can be staged. Click on the picture for the video from Suchominus:

In another development
I decided to listen to what Putin had to say on the recent
developments and I do not like that because to me he is a dumb and
very arrogant guy. And I am not interested in opinions from people
like that.
After having said
that, Putin still thinks that Russia can win the war because:
"We are taking ground along the entire frontline".
This is astonishingly
stupid, yes the Russians make gains but likely it is too difficult
for Russians to estimate how fast this all goes if, for example,
they want have all those four oblasts. I have said it multiple
times a year; this Putin guy is just to dumb to be an efficient
leader of a country like Russia. It is like a person with a bank
savings account and everyday the earned interest is 10 cent. And
this person thinks that if you wait long enough you will be rich
in the end. Is it that level of stupidity over there at the
Kremlin? It looks like it.
Anyway the channel
Combat Veteran Reacts made me aware of an interesting report where
the present military confrontation is compared to a lot of
conflicts from the entire 20-th century. And yes it goes amazingly
slow, as the CVR remarks: Slower as WWI. And that my dear reader
is indeed very slow...

And the report from

Lets go to the next
item while of course remarking a whole lot more did happen like
the phone call between Putin and Trump...
Item 2) Video on the John Bell theorem (about 45 mins).
Bells theorem is the
weird idea as believed by the physics community that if you
measure the spin of one of two entangled electrons, the spin of
the other will instantly be determined. Even if that
electron is in another galaxy or at the other side of the moon or
wherever.
As far as I know, this
theorem is only validated by experiment using photons. And how do
they produce entangled photons? Via a special kind of crystal that
sometimes chops an incoming photon in two photons have the same
frequency.
Now I think that
electrons are permanent magnetic monopoles so measuring it's
"spin" is not something that depends on probability.
Only if beforehand you don't know with what kind of electron you
are dealing with, the outcome can differ. But the spin measurement
itself is not a probabilistic thing.
What I think that
might be happening here in such a crystal is that very seldom an
incoming photon manages to lift up an entire electron pair and in
my version of electron spin these two electrons have opposite
magnetic charges. Therefore if the electrons produce photons they
will have opposite circular polarization and that my dear reader
should explain the high correlations they find in experiments like
this.
But, as far as I know,
they only try to measure photon polarization with linear
polarizers. And I have never worked with that kind of stuff, I
have no clue what linear polarizers do with circular photons. So I
can't make it ironclad and logical beside the fact it is rather
hard to prove that actually an entire electron pair gets lifted in
energy and falls back into it's ground state.
The video is the
official version of the stuff: All measurements are probabilistic
by definition and as such that should prove the theorem of John
Bell who, by the way, never understood all those weird energy
problems there are with the tiny magnet model of electron spin.
At last I want to
remark that likely the video is made by a religious person. There
is nothing wrong with that, if a religious person can think
logical it should be fine. But that is likely where at the end of
the video some strange example comes from when two people on
different places start praying at the same time...

Video title: Shining Light on Quantum Mechanics |3| The Bell Test
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fn9_aHESDbw
In all the Bell stuff
they want to exclude so called "hidden variables" that
could explain the high correlations found. In my humble opinion if
it really is true that an electron pair makes the two photons,
that should serve as a sufficient form of "hidden
variables".
Ok, that is what I had
to say this week.
(04 June 2025) Last
week a reporter asked Trump what he thought of the TACO stuff
going round where of course TACO stands for Trump Always Chickens
Out. For some strange reason Trump didn't like it, I don't
understand why because isn't it great to be the biggest and best
taco? That will teach those rapist Mexicans a lessen don't you
think? But no, he did not like it.
In the meantime
because there is just never enough chaos, the tariffs on steel
(and likely aluminum) were doubled to 50%. The problem now of
course is that Trump will hold on to this 50% number in order to
prove he will not and has not ever chickened out. So that's US
politics today, likely within a few days more chaos will be there
because there is just never enough of that stuff...
The upside is that I
found a new form of Taylor Swift, it's all AI but I think she
looks good and not that dumb worn out like a real human being or
so. It's just a fun song:

The two items for this
update are:
Item 1) But where is
Putin?
Item 2) Non locality or: Do particles like electrons have
'memories'?
Item
1) But where is Putin?
In a time span of just
3 days we observed 2 very interesting high quality military
operations by the Ukrainians. Something named operation Spiderweb
and what I know thus far, two submarine drones that attacked
pillars of the Kerch bridge.
Some observed remarked
that the success of these two operations will ensure more support
for Ukraine. Well, just for myself speaking, I will support
Ukraine through thick and thin as we say here. Only if there would
be widespread incompetence or all kinds of weird political ideas,
may be I would reconsider in such a scenario. But that is all not
the case, in my view anyway the Ukrainians have done a rather good
job all these years. Of course many mistakes have been made,
that's pretty normal because that is just climbing the learning
curve.
Anyway about a third
of the Russian long range aviation capabilities gone, that is a
thundering success. In itself much larger as say the sinking of
that flagship the Moskva a long time ago.
The Kyiv Post had a
article from one or two days back, please remark the 7 billion
number is a bit unrealistic. It is not realistic because if you
would try to sell those planes on the second hand market for long
range nuclear bombers you would get much less. While Russia seems
not to be able to build new ones and if that is true that is
fantastic news.
A quote worth saving
is the next from the Kyiv Post article:
“This is a turning point,” one SBU source said. “Our drones are now
reaching far into the enemy’s rear, where the planes that drop bombs on
our civilians take off. Their impunity is over.”
Click on the next
picture to read the Kyiv Post article on the Spiderweb
stuff:

Article title: ‘Spiderweb’ Strikes Cripple 34% of Russian Bomber Fleet in $7 Billion Blow, SBU Confirms.
Link used: https://www.kyivpost.com/post/53749
There is all kinds of
speculation going on as how operation Spiderweb was executed. For
example people stating that the drones used must be of the optic
fiber ones, but I wondered if that was what really has happened.
The next video tells a lot of details that might be true or not, I
did not have time to check it all out. But we can safely assume
that the Russians had electronic warfare systems in place on those
airfields, how could the FPV drones not loose contact with their
operators? The video suggests that more drones were used for that,
so called relay drones. I think that is true and it's a brilliant
solution because the signals from EW systems are only that strong
so when transmitter and receiver are not that far apart such EW
measures are just not strong enough and communication is still
possible.
So I don't know if all
the stuff mentioned in the video is actually correct but all in
all it can serve as a general understanding of how the attack was
organized and executed.

Video title: How Ukraine FPV drones Truck Attack Happened?
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrFshcqeea8
And if that was not
enough, the Kerch bridge came under sophisticated attack. I did
not save a link to the video and I am not a water structure
engineer but my gut feeling says that 1100 kg of those modern high
explosives likely have made some form of toast of that large
bridge pillar. But it can take a long time before it collapses, I
have not much insight into that. So this bridge attack is very
likely also a success, the only downside if you want to name it as
such is that the bridge already lost a large part of it's logistic
value. May be now it has lost 100% of it's logistic value or may
be some trains can go, I don't know. Tomorrow a fresh day and we
will see more on that Kerch detail.
As such with so much
news to comment his wisdoms upon: Where is Putin? It's
late so lets go to the next item.
Item 2) Non locality or: Do particles like electrons have
'memories'?
A few years back Nobel
prizes in physics were handed out for what was told was
experimental evidence for the non locality of quantum mechanics.
That goes back to a guy named John Bell who thought that you could
make all kinds of weird quantum stuff (super positions of quantum
states like electron spin) with pairs of electrons.
One of the Nobel recipients
remarked that it is extremely difficult to do the experiment with
real spin half particles like electrons. So all experiments done
to validate the Bell inequality are done with photons. And because
no such experiment is done with electrons, of course it is easy to
find video's of physics professionals claiming it is done with
electrons. Physics is the kind of science where the more you talk
out of your neck, the bigger applause you get.
Since I think that
electrons are magnetic monopoles just like they are electric
monopoles, I have a very different view on all those experiments
done compared to the main stream in physics. But it is now to late
to go into more detail so lets do that Thursday or so.
The reason I brought
this subject up were a few video's, I really do not advice to look
at the entirety of the next video. But in the beginning he lets
two students stand with their backs to each other and on command
they had to raise one arm. As you might expect about half the time
the students will raise the same are while the other half they
will raise different arms. I understand where this teacher is
going but we will look into that another time. Here is the very
bad video, do not watch it I warned you
clearly!

Video title: Quantum nonlocality - Lecture 1
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qcl8BGL-uMA
Lets leave it with
that because I feel the desire to pop up a home brewed beer so I
have to leave you alone. Thanx for your attention.
(30 May 2025) Today it
emerged that the Federal Trade Court more or less blocked the so
called reciprocal tariffs from 02 April. And yes I agree with
that, there is no 'emergency' at all because the USA runs deficits
in goods for say half a century. And they have a big surplus in
services so what's the big deal anyway?
Our own (small) stock
market didn't react at all at this court filing news, it looks
like the stock markets become mumble to all that weird stuff. But
don't forget that of course these tariffs can do a lot of
economical harm and that at a time where the US federal debt is
approaching the 37 trillion threshold. So another crazy week came
and went, wow what chaotic stuff will we have next week. I just
can't wait for the crap to emerge!
Lets go to the item of today.
Item 1) Zelnsky visits
Merz and slowly US airpower grows bit by bit.
Item 1) Zelensky visits Merz and slowly US airpower grows bit by
bit.
The Ukrainian prez
went to Germany last Wednesday. Germany is of course a very
important supporter of Ukraine and that is a very valuable thing.
Let me quote a bit from the article that I want to show you:
Germany's defence ministry said in a statement that Berlin would finance the production of long-range weapons systems in Ukraine and that the "first of
these systems could be deployed in the Ukrainian armed forces in just a few weeks". The Kremlin has warned that any decision to end range restrictions on
the missiles that Ukraine can use would be a quite dangerous change in policy that would harm efforts to reach a political deal.
However, Merz has since emphasised that a decision on lifting range restrictions was taken by Western allies months ago.
Comment: So it is now
more validated that it went like this; a few months ago the range
of allied weaponry was lifted but it became news only a few days
ago.
Very interesting is of course that plans to finance long range
weapon production inside Ukraine and is it really true that the
first of such long range weapons could be used within a few weeks?
I am laughing a bit because might it be that the Germans have
worked some time at this already? And that now it becomes news?
Within a few weeks the first stuff ready?
I had the quote from
an BBC article, click on the picture for the link:

German chancellor promises to help Ukraine produce long-range weapons.
Link used: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cpw7vllepx7o
A very different thing
is the F-16's in Ukraine. Of course for me that is still an
interesting thing to follow and read news about because my home
country together with Denmark has done some work on that. And the
Ukrainians seem to use them in the Kursk region, so that's inside
Russia. I don't know if they actually fly around inside Russia or
stay within UA borders and shoot from there.
Suchominus had one of
his usual short video's out:

Video title: Multiple F-16 Airstrikes in Kursk (Four in the Same Area & Same Time!).
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTjvVRhf9hk
A lot more did happen
of course but I don't have time for that all so I wish you good
luck with thinking about creative ways to kill lots of fucking
Russians & as always thanks for your attention.
(28 May 2025) Beside
the USA in more countries the yields on government debts are
rising, Japan is an example of such a country. It seems that one
of their bond auctions also failed and as such yields rise and all
bond investors get some losses because bond prices decline. Well,
interesting...
But today I have a
more light touch to all that tariff madness going round, it is a
video about consumer good prices in the USA. I have no idea how
serious this video is or better: it is a good reflection of what
actually is going on? Likely it is not hard to find places in
Europe where there are also all kinds of crazy prices going on.
But it's a fun video because an awful amount of inflation is
coming to the US consumers who's tariff taxes are partially used
to pay for the tax cuts. It's all rather crazy...

Video title: Stores Raised Prices And Americans Are FURIOUS And RECORDING IT

The two items of today
are:
Item 1) Range
restriction military aid for Ukraine lifted?
Item 2) What is the most simple proof of the Pythagorean theorem?
Item
1) Range restriction military aid for Ukraine lifted?
It sounded as news or
a shift in policy: Germany and all other major nations giving
weaponry to Ukraine have lifted the range restrictions that were
in place. But is it news? Or was it already going on?
The new German Kansler
Metz was not that explicit about it. It sounded a bit like those
range restrictions made some sense months ago but have now faded
into insignificance. He also said he wants to be a bit more
restrictive so that the Russians don't have to watch the 8 o'clock
news to figure out what the German government is doing to help
Ukraine.
Well yes I agree on
that, for example such a lift in range restrictions does not have
to be made public in advance. Just let the Russians feel it and if
they complain tell them they are good boys. That will make them
feel proud I just guess...
On the other hand it
could be the huge Russian drone attack from just a few days ago
that caused this to be news. Clcik on the picture for the article
in the Guardian:

Germany and Ukraine’s other allies scrap range limits on arms sent to Kyiv.
Link used: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/may/26/
germany-and-ukraines-other-allies-scrap-range-limits-
on-arms-sent-to-kyiv
Let me finish with a
dumb remark from the Kremlin who by all standards are a bunch of
hypocrites when it comes to talking about the desire for peace:
In response, the Kremlin described the decision as “dangerous”, saying it would be detrimental to reaching any sort of peace agreement.
So just a few days
after the largest drone attack done by Russia this clown comes up
with a statement like this?
Lets go to the next item.
Item
2) What is the most simple proof of the Pythagorean theorem?
The video channel
Wrath of Math had a video out on this question. And it's a bit
misleading but if you restrict the Pythagorean theorem with the
triangle thing it is alright.
There are much more
forms of the theorem of Pythagoras, take for example a beam of
wood with perfect 90 degrees angles. Take a saw and cut one of the
corners from this wooden beam. You now have something pyramid
shaped in your hand although the bottom is now a triangle and not
a square like in an Egyptian pyramid.
If you square the
three area's that meet in the perpendicular point, the sum of the
area's of these three small triangles now equals the square of the
area of the large triangle. But not many people try to find the
'most easy proof' for cases like this.
My own favorite
version is the one depicted at the bottom of the image below; if
you take the difference of the two squares in it the theorem of
Pythagoras comes rolling out.
The Wrath of Math guy
works out the example of using similar triangles and I have to say
that is also a very elegant proof. But a long long time ago long
before they invented the stone age I already decided I like the
proof with the difference of the two squares the
most.

Video title: Why Didn't They Teach this Proof in School? (Pythagorean Theorem)
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uO6n92S46ec
The ancients Greeks
looked a bit different to math compared to what we do today. For
them a (real) number, say a, was always the length of a
line segment where a square, say a^2, was just a square in
the geometrical sense.
That why at present
day we still use the word 'square' when a number is multiplied
with itself like in a^2.
That's it for this
update & as always thanx for your attention.
(23 May 2025) It seems
more or less official policy from the White House to cut taxes and
that will grow the economy and outgrow the size of the federal
debt. I even heard Scott Bessent say words like this on two
occasions. So is that possible?
On 30 Sept 1981 US
debt stood at almost one trillion, on 30 Sept 2023 it stood at
33.1 trillion. So in 42 years time it became 33.1 times as big
leaving aside stuff like inflation. On average that is a yearly
growth of 8.7% using the above data that I got from:
https://fiscaldata.treasury.gov/datasets/historical-debt-outstanding/
historical-debt-outstanding
So in four decades of
time, has the US economy ever grown over 8.7% a year and that year
in year out? No never, the only thing that will happen is fast
exploding deficits and of course more total outstanding
debt.
Lets go to the two
items of today.
Item 1) CNN on that
phone call & an old fashioned war story.
Item 2) Are quantum states like magnetic spin states fragile?
Nope.
Item
1) CNN on that phone call & an old fashioned war story.
Well like expected
that was indeed a useless phone call between the Vlad and the
Donald. I don't feel like writing down what I think of it, that's
a waste of time... But in case you missed it, here is a CNN
article:
Peace in Ukraine looks further away after Trump’s call with Putin
Linkk used:

russia-ukraine-ceasefire-talks
A very different piece
of news more or less smelling a bit after old stories in now dusty
books about thrilling war operation from say WWII. Of course such
stories are a bit romantized because it was often very hard and
dangerous work, such clandestine operations...
The Kyiv Post came
with a perfect title: "Commando Group Deploys in Dense Woods, Swampland Deep Inside Russia".
Click on the picture if you want to read it:
Article title: Commando Group Deploys in Dense Woods, Swampland Deep Inside Russia.
Link used: https://www.kyivpost.com/post/53182
Lets go to the next
item.
Item
2) Are quantum states like magnetic spin states fragile? Nope.
If it is true that
electrons are tiny magnets where the direction of that tiny
magnetic field is the spin or spin direction, in that case every
tiny external magnetic field will change that direction of spin.
I view electrons as
magnetic monopoles and their magnetic charge is permanent is what
I thought of it after a few years on digesting this subject. It's
a permanent feature and as such there are two kinds of electrons
and that explains why the physics folks in experiments always find
just two possible outcomes they describe as spin up or spin down.
It is well known that
sometimes the earth magnetic field flips, you can find it back in
the geological record and a beautiful example is the growth of the
mid Atlantic rift. The magnetic direction of the earth magnetic
field as it was in the past is stored in many sediments and likely
in a beautiful way by the slowly cooling magma that emerges from
the center of the rift.
Such weak magnetism is
preserved over hundreds of thousands of years so it can be doubted
that the official version of permanent magnetism "All
electron spins align themselves and it becomes one magnet" is
true at all. Geological stuff like this was one of the reasons for
me to finally flip to the conclusion that electron flip is more a
feature of the human brain and not something done in nature.
I had found a cute
video from a youtube channel Geo Girl, she has good video's, but I
could not find it back. Likely it was a part of a longer video and
not explicit about this Atlantic rift. So all I have is a boring
picture but likely you have an internet connection anyway so if
you want to know a bit more on this you can always look it up
yourself.

I like this process
because it resembles a possible way of making permanent magnets.
That is: Heating up a piece iron to above the Curie temperature.
Apply and external magnetic field and let it all cool down slowly,
very slowly.
What happens is that
the hot iron atoms are so hot they are stripped from their
unpaired electrons that hided in some inner orbitals. The external
magnetic field steers electrons through the piece of iron each of
their place and when the whole thing cools down those inner
orbitals of the iron atoms will get filled. And as such a
permanent magnet emerges.
Ok that was it for
this week.
(21 May 2025) Last
week the last rating agency downgrades US federal debt to below
AAA rating. That would be about time but that's my opinion. Their
treasury sec Scott Bessent said that it made no difference because
such news is always behind the facts. And yes I agree with that,
look for example the total of interest that must be paid this
year. You can argue that a significant fraction of the interest
paid is borrowed money.
Lets go to the two
items of today:
Item 1) Gerdes on the
two hour phonecall between Trump & Putin.
Item 2) Anton on galactic filaments; finally explained! But are
they?

1) Gerdes on the two hour phone call between Trump & Putin.
I didn't even had the
time to view this video so it is a bit strange to link to it but I
will watch it later anyway. To be honest I did not have huge
expectations from this phone call anyway but some folks are
infuriated and likely that's for a reason.

Lets go to the next
item.
Item
2) Anton on galactic filaments; finally explained! But are they?
I don't remember to
have seen these magnetic filaments from the video from Anton
before. But a whole lot of stuff in our galaxy has to do with
magnetism and so that is how I always look at the stuff like
moving streams of electrons: They are magnetic monopoles and as
such also get accelerated by magnetic fields in a similar manner
as electric fields do.
If you look at say a
video of solar plasma with all it's activity, that is also where
magnetic monopoles make much more sense. It should also, at least
partially, explain stuff like the temperature of the solar corona
that is so much hotter as the solar 'surface'
itself.
But inside our milky
way also things like atomic hydrogen should be magnetic because
after all atomic hydrogen has only one electron. As such also
molecules or atoms like atomic hydrogen and even molecular oxygen
should get accelerated by magnetic fields in our milky way. Well
that's just how I view it, electrons are just permanent magnetic
monopoles the same as their electric properties.
All in all I think
Anton is a bit premature by claiming that 'now it is understood'.
It is more like a more precise description is given like the shape
and length of those filaments and is it mostly magnetically driven
or is there much more going on?
The longest of such filaments
(until now) found is about 300 light years long. Stuff like this
is news that I am following for a few years now because I think
that say the famous 21 cm hydrogen spectral line is not electron
flip but a stream of atomic hydrogen colliding with a stream of
electrons.
The official version
of the cause of the 21 cm radio line is mostly the flip of
electron spin in atomic hydrogen while in older literature you can
also find other explanations. But all I ever saw from the last
decades always favors the electron spin flip version.
As always click on the
video if you want to see this subject that I always find
fascinating because galaxies are such complicated
things.

Video title: Strange 300 Light Year Long Filament In the Milky Way Finally Explained.
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmTIqprrlQM
Oh oh Anton; there is
so much not explained at all. For example why in molecular
hydrogen must the electrons have opposite spin? Why must their
spins be anti-aligned? If you view electrons as tiny magnets this
is a rather crazy way of looking at nature. Whatever the physics
professors keep on talking out of their necks on electron spin;
the monopole interpretation just makes much more sense and brings
a bit of logic at an otherwise crazy scene.
Let me try to upload
this to our common giant garbage can: the internet. As always
thanks for your attention.
(16 May 2025) Tariff
news: Walmart is announcing that they will raise prices in a short
period of time because of the tariffs. Of course Walmart is a high
volume low margins kind of shop and as such they have little
wiggle room to absorb the costs related to the tariffs in imported
goods.
I selected the next
CNN video because there you can see the nutjob US secretary of
commerce once more saying that it is nonsense the consumers pay
for these tariffs. It looks like in many ways the present US
government is in large part a collection of nutjobs and of course
they hire only more nutjobs. Well it is what it is...

The items for
today:
Item 1) No Putin in
Istanbul & new EU sanctions on the shadow fleet.
Item 2) A new way of matrix multiplication & weird monopole
physics.
Item
1) No Putin in Istanbul & new EU sanctions on the shadow
fleet.
The Russians seem to
have collected a very low level of people for their delegation
going to Istanbul for talks with Ukraine. So like expected the
Kremlin does not want peace. That might not look very rational but
don't forget they became irrational before this war started.
But there could be all
kinds of other reasons as why the Russian leadership wants to go
on with the war. For example there seem to be a solid
synchronization going on with the railroads in Belarus. We all
know the Russians need a lot of railroad for there military
transports. So it could be they are prepping for an attack against
Poland or something like that and for that they need the war
economy to go on much longer. It's all speculation but we better
try to avoid weird military surprises.
And like I wrote years back; It is important to destroy large
parts of the Russian railroad system in the first few days of some
future engagement with them in case they attack us for say
homosexual fascists that in a decadent manner run our societies.
I don't expect much from the talks in Istanbul but lets wait and
see. __________
I think it is the
17-th round of sanctions and this time a bit more concentrated on
all those ships that make up the so called shadow fleet for
Russian oil. Only for environmental reasons we should already do
this but of course it is hard to identify exactly all ships that
belong to that shadow fleet.

Video title: Will the new EU sanctions on Russia be more effective than previous rounds? | DW News.
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUruZ4eAmZI
Estimates around the
Russian economy still vary a lot. From "those sanctions do
not work at all" till "the Russian government has almost
run out of money". I am more in the camp that thinks that
their economy is damaged a lot but the problem with successful
evading sanctions is that you often don't see it. And in a case of
this shadow fleet you see it vague and opaque while it is clear
what is going on with them; trying to avoid the oil price
cap.
Lets go to the next
item.
Item
2) A new way of matrix multiplication & weird monopole
physics.
Google had some news
out regarding new math found with one of their large language
models. For myself speaking I found it more interesting you can do
stuff like this at all with llm's but it is hard to see how they
actually got those results.
Matt Parker, who apparently has broken an arm, is showing the
results from a beach from where he is having a holiday with his
family. The matrix result is the only I found significant, the
rest is more some form of math puzzles that are nice to see but
what value does it have?

The matrix result is
very interesting, I heard from it the first time in 1990 or
something like that. When you multiply a nxn with
another n by n matrix, for every entry you need n
multiplications and as such for the whole matrix you will always
need n to the third power multiplications.
And that my dear
reader seems not to be true, a result that more or less flies
directly into the human intuition in case there is such a thing in
math: human intuition...
__________
A very different
subject: Magnetic monopoles (the official version).
Ok, it's no secret I
think that electrons carry a monopole magnetic charge just like
their electric charge is: permanent and monopole. It's also no
secret that physics professionals think that electrons are bipolar
magnets and as such the electrons are not magnetic
monopoles.
Well the professionals
are still looking for experimental evidence their crap is found
back in nature. For example at CERN there are still experiments
going on with say hanging sheets of plastic or plastic foils and
they think their pathetic version of magnetic monopoles are highly
ionizing and as such will leave a trace behind in those plastic
foils hanging around.
If I remember it
correctly, at CERN the make a very strong magnetic field and they
hope and pray that in that strong field a magnetic monopole (and
likely it's anti particle version) will be created. A lot is based
on the work of Paul Dirac and I have never read it because it is
so weird.
I found a recent pdf
from just a couple of weeks back and it starts like this:

Pdf title: The next frontiers for magnetic monopole searches.
Link used: https://arxiv.org/pdf/2409.04552
I try to be open
minded, may be I am missing a subtle thing or so. But it here
clearly says that the magnetic charge equals 68.5 times the
electric charge of the proton... (Don't forget the alpha
number is just a number, it is about 1/137 but that's not relevant
here.)
Or does the Dirac
magnetic monopole have beside a magnetic charge also an electric
charge? Or is that g number is some kind of coupling constant
because that is often written with a g too? It is all unclear and
in my view a pile of crap where tax payer money is wasted big
time.
And those folks work
with that crap for decades and decades because it was a long long
time ago since Paul Dirac did his stuff. Not that Paul only made
crap, I like those 4x4 matrices of him that are an extension of
the Pauli matrices. But Paul Dirac likely also viewed electrons as
some from of tiny magnets so all in all his insights are not very
meaningful to me.
That's it for this
week, as always thank you for not falling asleep and have a nice
weekend or so.
(14 May 2025) I didn't
have much time to follow the news this day and last day so let me
keep it short. No significant news from the tariff front, only
that China tariff stuff is down from ultra crazy levels but still
at say a century high. Lets go to the two items of this
update.
Item 1) Will Putin go
to Istanbul for peace negotiations this week?
Item 2) A pdf on magnetic monopoles, why do people write that
stuff?
Item
1) Will Putin go to Istanbul for peace negotiations this week?
There are some rumors
that even Trump will go to Istanbul on Thursday but I don't know
how serious that is. My guesstimate is that Putin will not go to
Istanbul this week but likely their fm Lavrov.
Ukraine's Zelensky
challenged Putin to come over to Turkey but why should Putin go if
he wants to go on with the war? Likely we will get some blah blah
blah story from Lavrov or other Russian mouthpieces.
The Times had a short video out:

Video title: Zelensky Challenges Putin To Meet For Peace Talks In Turkey
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feHg_Swj4pw
Lets go to the next
item.
Item 2) A pdf on magnetic monopoles, why do people write that
stuff?
The professional
physics professors keep on searching for the elusive magnetic
monopoles. And their ways are just like God's ways: Not groundable
for the human mind...
But serious, if I can
explain to say my son that there are serious and weird problems
with say an electron pair, how come physics professionals don't
care at all about such problems? I think it is very much a
cultural thing, anyway it clearly is not scientific behavior so
you must look much more for cultural or social reasons.
So for stating that
magnetic monopoles do not exist is not something deeply rooted in
any kind of experimental result, it is just the extension of a
piece of math found by Gauss long before electrons were
discovered. By repeating this the person that claims monopoles
don't exist shows that he or she belongs to the (social class) of
physics professionals and also that they are loyal to the common
main streams of thinking inside the profession.
Stating that magnetic
monopoles do not exist is just as dumb as stating that electric
monopoles like electrons and protons do not exist with the
following line of reasoning:
If I take a piece
of wood, it is electrically neutral. Now if I saw it into
two pieces both pieces are still electrically neutral. So every
time you cut a neutral thing in two, both parts will be neutral
again. Hence electric monopoles do not exist.
And why people write
such stuff instead of looking into all the crazy weird energy
problems there are with their bipolar electrons is unknown to me.
Ok there is that cultural and social side to it, comparable to say
the math professors when they talk about the existence of 3D
complex numbers.
The pdf is a bit long
so it is more for the die hards. Very much in the beginning you
can find the Maxwell equations without monopole charges, that
alone should be a feast to read if you have never done
that.
Here the pdf:
Introduction to Magnetic Monopoles
Link used: https://arxiv.org/pdf/1204.3077
And for no reason at
all I post a nice ai generated video that looks amazingly good. If
you are good at playing a guitar you likely get curly toes from
looking at ai like this, just like I get curly toes from reading
pdf's on magnetic monopoles. But details like that aside, every
year it still keeps getting better and better. Click on the

Ok that's it, as
always thanx for your attention.
(09 May 2025) I took a
small look at if it was true that the USA had to finance &
refi 9.2 trillion $ debt this year and yep it's true. It is mostly
talked about on websites on crypto coins or on goldbug websites
but it's true. Now I don't feel like linking to an unknown crypto
website but I found a very good LinkedIn article from Jan this
year.
It has for sure a hilarious title, very likely the author was
unaware of what later in this year would happen when the US
political leadership decided to liberate itself from all that
abusive international trade.
Article title: 2025: Refinancing $9 trillion of debt under the scenario of tariff-induced inflation.
Link used: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/2025-refinancing-
9-trillion-debt-under-scenario-axel-funhoff-yoqpe
It has to be remarked
however that last year the USA had a similar problem but then it
was only 6 or 7 trillion in new and refi debt. Last year a lot of
the refi was done via Treasury bills that have a very short
maturity time and as such a lower interest rate. That's why it's
9.2 trillion this year and now you understand why the FED chief
Powell is such a stupid person to not lower the interest
rates...
In another
development; the present US deficit for this fiscal year is about
1.85 trillion US$. If you take a population size of 330 million
citizens the average USA citizen sinks 15 dollars a day deeper
into their federal debt.
Lets go to the two items of this update.
Item 1) Of course once
more Russia violates it's own 'ceasefire'.
Item 2) Finally published the new post: The Sledgehammer Theorem.
Item
1) Of course once more Russia violates it's own 'ceasefire'.
It is now 00.10 on the
nine-th of May so today we have that Russian military parade day
with some international dignitaries like Chin'a Xi in the main
role.
It would be an
interesting historical experiment to bomb them all into
smithereens and see if the future historical developments will be
as estimated beforehand.
Or may be that's not a
good idea although the parade itself is an allowed military target
since after all it is still a military parade...
To be honest I have no
idea what will happen tomorrow, if a drone would land say three
yard before the feet of Xi yes that would be funny of course.
Since so much air defense is now in Moscow, in a lot of parts of
the rest of Russia it is now much easier for Ukraine to stage
drone attacks.
I have an AP article
for you about the speed of how Russia violates her own so called
ceasefire and by coincidence the minerals deal is just ratified by
the Ukrainian parliament. That why I choose the next relative
boring picture while we must remark of course that it is a good
thing if photo's of parliaments at work are always boring so
that's a good thing.
And if you see decapitated heads flying around, so it's not
boring, that is often not good for the functioning of a democratic
parliament.
Click on the picture for the AP article.

Lets go to the next
item.
Item
2) Finally published the new post: The Sledgehammer Theorem.
With a delay of a few
days, yesterday I posted the stuff of the new math post. It's all
rather basic and yes even I have to admit that because it is
mostly about matrix representations it is also a bit boring. This
is the very first hybrid number system that I actually write into
existance.
Here I mix the complex
numbers from the complex plane in with the 3D circular number by
replacing all reals by those 2D complex numbers. As such the
result is a six dimensional number space where all numbers
commute. That is AB = BA.
Due to my shoulder
pain I could not type for a few days and likely that caused I did
forget to cut & paste some of the original text. So later I
had to repair that because all other pictures were already
finished. So it looks a bit weird on the other website but I don't
think it is problematic for the math die hards that actually will
read it.

Above you the the
matrix associated with the famous imaginary unit i from the
complex plane. And if you square the matrix you get indeed minus
one or more precise: minus the 6x6 identity matrix.

That was it for what I
had to say this week, to my amazement suddenly all that movie
tariff talk was dissipated. I don't know why but I know that at
the end I have to thank you for your attention so that's what I
just did...
Till next week my dear reader.
(07 May 2025) India
just attacked Pakistan, they say no military targets but only the
terrorist ones. Well it does not have to escalate per se but the
situation is far from cool.
Donald Trump proposed
a 100% tariff on movies? A movie is not a good you must ship
around and you can slam a tariff on it where the point of entry
like a harbor is. It's more a service/IP kind of thing, does a
100% tariff mean a price hike on the selling price to
consumers?
Will the trade war
spill over into services? After all the USA seems to have a huge
surplus when it comes to services so in the words of the Donald
himself: "The USA is raping the rest of the world with the
services. In particular Disney movies are just pedophile rapist
things."
But serious: Can the
EU demand that a company like say Google can only show you an
advertisement if it is already paid for? So that they can no
longer show you an infinite row of advertisements where they only
make money if you are that stupid to click on one of them. Only
already paid for advertisements can be shown EU wide...
In that case we would have Europe wide say on Youtube a normal
amount of advertisements and not the floods we have to endure for
the unpaid service... Lets go to our two items of
today:
Item 1) The 1956
Sidewinder AIM-9 strikes again & The White House What?
Item 2) Two problems with the explanation of the aurora's.
Item 1) The 1956
Sidewinder AIM-9 strikes again & The White House What?
For the first time in
military history Ukraine succeeded into the downing of two SU 30
Russian fighter jets with air to air missiles from
drones...
It's a beautiful story
of about 20 sea drones going on a journey around the Crimea. I
observed also some Russian footage where they destroyed a few
water drones with air drones. Because the sea drones are small
targets that forces the Russian fighter jets to fly low, likely
that is why this was such a weird success.
Anyway I did not know
what a Sidewinder was so I looked it up in the wiki and the thing
dates back to 1956 when it entered service and already earlier
when under development. It is "infra-red guided" and
that means of course it is a heat seeking flying boom thing.
I did not know that in 1956 they already had such stuff, after all
that was still the era of the vacuum tube so that's an amazing
detail.
Ukraine's spy boss
tells the story of this attack, click on the picture:

Link used: https://newsukraine.rbc.ua/news/ukraine-s-
spy-boss-details-how-naval-drones-1746349227.html
The Sidewinder has a
long history of course and without doubt it's upgraded many times
since the 1950-ties, in case you are interested in such boring
stuff here's the wiki:
Wiki article: AIM-9 Sidewinder
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AIM-9_Sidewinder
In a very different
development Donald Trump was asked in an interview stuff about
Ukraine and to my surprise he said that Russia had to withdraw
from the entire Ukraine. And that included the Crimean area as far
as I understood it. That's an amazing policy shift so lets hope it
will last longer as 24 hours...
Lets go to the next
item.
Item
2) Two problems with the explanation of the aurora's.
Ok my dear reader you
can try to find some logic where you can compare two idea's about
the magnetism of electrons. There are more particles in the solar
wind but the electrons cause the two aurora's on the North &
South pole. The two idea's are:
1) Electrons are tiny
magnets and magnetic monopoles do not exist, this is the official
version of electron magnetism. As a simple consequence an electron
must be neutral in a constant homogeneous magnetic field. Not that
there is any experimental evidence for that but hey blah blah blah
is an integral part of the science of physics.
This is the official version according to the standard model of
particle physics.
2) Electrons are
magnetic monopoles and as such there are two kinds of them: some
have a North pole like magnetic charge and the other half will
have a south magnetic charge.
That is my version of electron spin and it does not have all the
weird problems like energy problems that the official version
has.
Ok, below in the
picture you can see in a schematic fashion that the earth magnetic
field acts as a shield against the solar wind. There are two
problems I want to point out here:
Problem 1) You see the
stream of solar wind plasma gets split, half goes up and half goes
down. According to the official version there are electrons that
align themselves with the magnetic field and other do the anti
align thing. And anti align simply means that electron north pole
will point to the earth north pole and vice versa for the earth
south pole.
But that is a state of higher energy, where does the electron get
the energy from to turn it's spin in this anti-aligned fashion?
Problem 2) If it is
true that electrons are not magnetic monopoles, the official
theory is that they only get accelerated by inhomogeneous magnetic
field. In particular their acceleration is proportional to the
gradient of the magnetic field. Well that is a very interesting
kind of blah blah blah because say for yourself: In space the
earth magnetic field is already very weak and as such it will have
not much of a gradient at all.
In physics the law of conservation of linear momentum is an
important one and guess what? It has tons of experimental
evidence! But here electrons that moved sideways now enter the air
above the North & South pole in a vertical way more or less
perpendicular of how they went from the sun to the earth. So what
happens to the linear momentum of the solar wind electrons?
Ok, I also had a video
for you in case you didn't see it last week, it has nothing to do
with the two problems but it is a nice video anyway:

Video title: There’s Something Weird Going On With the Northern Lights
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnATQJJIsK4
In my view the
magnetic monopole model for the magnetism of electrons has no
energy problems. The electrons that have a south pole charge will
fly up and end at the North pole all the time lowering their
potential energy. And vice versa to the South pole for the
electrons with a monopole north pole like magnetic charge. All
electrons now lower their potential energy all of the time and we
do not have all the weird stuff like in the standard model there
is.
Also because the
electrons have a magnetic charge, they get accelerated by the
earth magnetic field and that explains why they have enough energy
to ionize the oxygen and nitrogen of the earth's
atmosphere.
Since Feb 2015 I have
been writing on this relative important detail but given the
present state of how science is organized at the universities
there is not much happening. And in a sense they are right of
course; another round of worshiping the Dirac equation gives of
course much more "research money" while saying that
magnetic monopoles is likely the end of their precious academic careers...
But I am not bitter or
so, may be the more stupid they are the longer it takes for logic
to set in.
That was it for this
update, my shoulder pain is gone so I could finally post this
update that was originally planned for last week.
(02 May 2025) I am
grumpy the last two days because of a shoulder pain. It feels like
a tendon sheath inflammation (in Dutch that is peesschede
ontsteking). So I can't type much...
Tariff news: Amazon
denies in all tones they were planning to make the tariff part of
the selling price on items visible to her customers. Trump had
this to say: "Jeff Bezos is very nice," Trump told reporters. "He solved the problem very quickly. He did the right thing."
That's the new reality
in the USA: Even if it is in itself neutral information, telling
the tariff part is now "Hostile and political"...
In my view only naive companies will set up shop in the USA, that
is not a wise strategic decision right now. A Reuters report:

2) A few things wrong with the explanation the Northern Lights.
There arm many weird
problems just not explained by the way the earth magnetic field
interacts with the incoming solar wind. But again I can't type
properly so lets skip that till next week. Here is a nice video to
pass the time:

Video title: There’s Something Weird Going On With the Northern Lights

I typed this post with
just one arm or one hand and wow that goes rather slow. Anyway may
be till next week or sometime later.
(30 April 2025) Funny
tariff news of the day: Amazon is planning to show customers the
tariff on a particular item, so the price and the tariff. The
White House was not amused because now people can see who is
actually paying the tariffs: It's themselves and that is of course
not a thing the White House wants.
I found an interesting
video from David Roche, I had never seen him before, and he is
making some estimates on future dollar weakness and some plausible
scenario's like unloading more US debt and equities. Of course I
too think the dollar will weaken further because of the craziness
of the present US government but will that alone be the end of the
US reserve status? My estimate is a no, in the past we had times
where one pound was two dollars. But once trust is gone it can go
hard and fast.
Just for myself speaking on say US government debt; I would never
buy long term debt, that's just throwing your money in a giant
garbage can...

Lets go to the items of today.
Item 1) Soldiers per

Item 2) Oh look how cute: They commute!
Item 1) Soldiers per square km and The Rapid Destroyer from the
UK.
On UkrInform I came
across some estimates for the Russians in case they want to do
another offensive like a Summer offensive this year. Let me quote
and amazing detail:
Oleksandr Kovalenko cites staggering figures: while in 2024, Russian forces suffered an average of 128 dead and wounded casualties per each square
kilometer of Ukrainian land captured, this rate had grown to 158-159 per-square-kilometer casualties by the beginning of 2025, and is currently approaching
190-192 casualties per square kilometer seized. "This proportion - the number of casualties per square kilometer of territory captured – tends to grow,
and, according to our estimates, it will grow further in May and June. The reason is simple: the Russians are throwing foot soldiers into battles in ever
increasing numbers, thus compensating for the lack of equipment, ammunition and organization," the expert explains.
Almost 200 Russians
for every square km, that is about 50 square meter for every dead
Russian soldier. This war is indeed totally crazy. Click on the

The UK has performed a
test on a new kind of energy weapon: It uses radio frequency and
so it is not a laser thing or so. The thing is made to destroy
entire swarms of incoming drones. The importance of such a
frequency range is utterly clear: Laser does now work if there are
clouds, smoke or fog and so on. So that's a very interesting
development, of course this was just a successful test and the
first one but it sounds good. But doesn't that thing destroy also
radio's in the neighborhood? Likely not but all kinds of technical
details are missing. Click on the picture for the article from the

That was it for this
update, it could be that those Swedish AWACS have arrived in
Ukraine but I did not have time to look into that. May be next
update. Lets go to the next item.
Item
2) Oh look how cute: They commute!
The new post is almost
finished so in a week time or so it should be hanging over at the
other website. All in all it is not a very hard post to read, it's
more or less basic matrix stuff.
But I had never done it this was, I mean making matrices with
complex numbers in them as the entries. It is still about the so
called Sledge Hammer theorem or the Scalar Replacement Theorem as
I named it in the past. You can replace the real scalars you use
in say complex numbers z from the complex plane and replace
those by say 3D complex numbers. Or the 3D circular numbers as I
did in this post. If you do that you get all kinds of interesting
six dimensional structures that still have all kinds of pretty
math properties. So it's not like that usual garbage from the
quaternions that the math professors always use as their bright
and shining example of human intellect...
No links today, only
two six by six matrices where I use only real numbers. If you use
internet apps for validating your insights into higher dimensional
numbers systems, you must always use real numbers. There are some
applets that allow you to use the simple 2D complex numbers from
the plane but that is a seldom thing...
Anyway if you want you
can check yourself that the two matrices below commute. And they
are the matrix representations from the i from the complex
plane and the imaginary unit j from the 3D circular
numbers.

That was it for this
update, as always thanks for your attention and if you haven't
done matrix multiplications in say three decades I wish you luck
with your calculations...;)
(25 April 2025)
Yesterday I talked shortly to someone about the tariff stuff and I
remarked that within one month the USA will feel it. After all if
most stuff sold by Walmart is made in China, cute import tariffs
of over 100% is of course a little bit disruptive.
Anyway today it emerged that hot shot retail CEO's already came
out stating that within two weeks there will be empty shelves...
So that was funny to
observed. All this chaotic tariff stuff is so weird it makes you
wonder what's behind it. Lets go to the two items of today.
Item 1) UA peace
talks, Suchominus vid on GRAU and so on.
Item 2) Two matrices created 11 years apart.
Item
1) UA peace talks, Suchominus vid on GRAU and so on.
The peace talks under
leadership of the present US political leadership are as good as
say all that mad tariff stuff. This is a piece of crap that will
not bring any longlasting peace to Ukraine and or Europe. All this
crap of formally recognizing Crimea as Russia and lifting
sanctions is of course facilitating future weird military
adventures by the Russians.
If I were an Ukrainian citizen and I could vote in a referendum or
so on this shitty deal, I would vote against it.
In a very different
development Suchominus had a very grainy video out showing the
aftermath of that ammo dump explosion near Moscow. Multiple
sources said that about one hundred thousand ton, that's a 100
million or 0.1 billion kilo explosives. The official version from
the Russian side is that it was a fire that caused the explosion
and it all was a breach of safety standards. It was interesting to
observe even a lot of Western media outlets just reported the
official version. Anyway there is also not much proof for an
actual successful UA attack or an undercover operation and so on.
Suchominus observed that likely at the time of the explosion a
train with ammo was unloading and hey haven't we heard that story
before? All in all my estimation is that it is more likely that is
was a successful attack versus the fire caused these little
crackers to go boom boom boom...
The video is so strange looking because there is constantly a
cloud cover and or smoke so this is some radar video and is not
from light. As always click on the video if you want to see it
now:

Video title: First Satellite Imagery of Russia's 51st GRAU Moscow (Not Very Clear, But Many Heat Spots Visible)
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ibsY86cZpM
Before we go to the
next item, I found a bit more on that weird motor attack and yes
the video says all 300 soldiers on the 150 motor bikes dead. And
it also explains the usage of motors by stating the motors can go
over anti tank mines without making them go boom and they can pass
the concrete teeth that is problematic for tanks and similar
vehicles. So all in all this one example does not say clearly the
shortage of tanks on the Russian side is becoming critical.
On the other hand more and more civilian cars are reported as
destroyed and that points to less and less armored stuff like the
famous Russian tanks.
Lets go to the next item.
Item
2) Two matrices created 11 years apart.
This week I more or
less finished a math post on what I name the Sledgehammer Theorem
and that is a very misleading name because it has nothing to do
with sledge hammers. In some old texts of mine I came across the
name 'Scalar replacement theorem' and likely that was the name
back in the time.
I remember I had done
stuff like this before, I mean those 6x6 matrices. And yes, today
I found I did that back in the year 2014. So that was just two
years after I started picking up this cute hobby of 3D complex
numbers. Now I am reading this back I was a bit surprised how far
I already had come in two years of time. In my memory it took
longer but facts are facts and human memory inherently unreliable.
Human memory is not like computer memory, our memories evolve all
of the time.
Anyway the post isn't
published yet, that will take easily another week or so but it's
in the pipeline. Here are the two matrices, the upper is easy
going math from the new post. It is just a matrix representation
of the 3D circular numbers that just got SLEDGEHAMMERED and
therefore now are 6D numbers in a beautiful hybrid number space.
At the bottom of the
image you see the matrix from the year 2014, it was the number tau
for the imaginary unit j that has a determinant of minus one. You
can compare that to the log of the number -1 in the complex plane,
that is i times pi. So the matrix below is a very more
complicated higher dimension "i times pi".
It is best to read
these matrices as 9 small 2x2 matrices, each of the small matrices
is a complex number from the standard plane in matrix
form.

At the time it was a
thundering finding but a decade back there were strangely enough
much more free internet apps for taking a matrix logarithm
compared to the present day. That's a pity but it is what it is.
The old matrix can be
found on this very website because at the time I did not have the
3Dcomplexnumber.net thing. Here is a link in case you want to know
a bit more:

May I thank you for
your attention if you have made it this far. See you in some
future update.
(23 April 2025) A
funny podcast from Bloomberg is about the restructuring of US debt
the famous treasuries. And they remark an interesting historical
debt defaults while they also observe that in case the present US
debt changes, there is nothing that forbids that.
So at least in theory
the maturity date could be 50 or 100 years into the future while
also the coupon you receive is say cut in half. I didn't know
that, isn't US debt the safest in the world?
Well a few months back
I calculated for you that on average since the total US debt
levels passed the one trillion mark back in the 1980-ties year on
year growth was about 8.9%.
In theory this debt must be paid for with tax payer dollars but
the underlying US economy has grown of course much much less as
8.9% a year. So from the mathematical point of view you won't get
your money back or, if you get it back it will have much less
value. In my view the only thing that keeps the debt piles up is
that there is not a real alternative for US debt. If you look at
the fundamentals, I consider that garbage.
Here is the Bloomberg podcast: Mitu Gulati on Whether Trump Could Restructure US Debt | Odd Lots. Link

Lets go to the items
of today.
Item 1) German
loitering drones equipped with ai.
Item 2) Another very good / very bad video on the SG experiment.
Item
1) German loitering drones equipped with ai.
Somewhere there was an
attack done by Russia in Ukraine using 150 motor cycles and 300
(likely infantry) soldiers. All dead now but serious; Is Russia
running out of tanks and other forms of armored
vehicles?
In another development
it was reported that some German drones equipped with ai have
taken out a few anti-air systems from Russia. That's interesting
because such systems like the BUK's and similar ones have of
course a lot of jamming protection like the jamming of GPS signals
for navigation and jamming of the possible control frequencies of
drone operators. But with some workable ai it should no longer be
a fatal problem if the connection is lost and the drone can more
or less find the target on it's own.
The German company
Helsing is making 6000 of these drones for Ukraine, in the picture
below they look rather impressive if the ai and the rest is as
good as we are told. What I found interesting is that the body is
made from wood, I like that a lot because I have made wood stuff
for years. And because it's wood and not radar reflective metals,
the radar footprint is also rather small. Go wood go!
The Defense Post had a
small article about it:

Title: German Firm to Make 6,000 More AI-Enabled Drones for Ukraine.
Link used: https://thedefensepost.com/2025/02/13/german-firm-
drones-ukraine/
Now of course here in
Europe we must make much much more of our own defense hardware
ourselves because the USA has become an unreliable partner. A lot
of people will say that it's only because of Donald Trump but for
the same buck you can turn that argument around by remarking there
is nothing that prevents an ever weirder person to become US
president.
And it's all a bit
hard to predict what the outcome will be; how will the USA evolve
without say a department of education? May be it is time to go to
the next item.
Item
2) Another very good / very bad video on the SG experiment.
This is part two and
some time ago I showed you part one. Again this is a very well
made video with lots of historical content around the famous Stern
Gerlach experiment from the year 1922.
The video is also very
bad because it shows the combined results of repeated SG
experiments where with 'repeated' I mean the whole experiment was
imitated. I have seen a few of those repeater video's myself, if
memory serves that one from the USA from 1967 was a video I had
seen already.
For me it is very
frustrating that they only copy what originally was done by Stern
and Gerlach back in the year 1922. For example in the explanation
the role of an inhomogeneous magnetic field plays a vital role to
the extend that this field explains the forces on the unpaired
electrons that steer the silver atoms into two groups.
But non of those SG
imitators make a magnetic field that can flip between homogeneous
and inhomogeneous in order to demonstrate that indeed electrons
are tiny magnets.
These people do not
have much creativity but it is what it is and there is not much
that can be done about the lack of creativity in say the science
of physics.
Beside that, the video
is very good so enjoy:

That was it for this
post, originally I wanted to spice up the above picture with a
very cute 6x6 matrix but I forgot to do that. So may be next
update in two days, that was it for this update and as always
thanks for your attention.
(18 April 2025) When
it comes to the tariffs may be I finally grasp a bit more as what
is meant when say people from the white house say "Tariffs
hurt foreigners more as us" or words of similar phrasing.
Lets take something
like a Mercedes car. The idea is that by applying a tariff
Mercedes is forced to lower their price at which they sell and as
such that eats hefty into their profits...
I don't know if that actually works, the average profits of
Mercedes are something like 8% so there is not much room for
neutralizing say a 20 or 25% tariff.
All in all the
situation is still rather crazy; why should you want to do this?
Ok with things that have a strategic importance or are strongly
tied to security consideration, it might make some sense. But
tariffs on socks or tshirts or dildo's is crazy beyond belief.
Beside that there is no policy at all to make an industry policy,
those white housers think this return of manufacturing will go
automatically or so. It's all fucking stupid and always chaotic to
the bone. Lets go to the two items for this update:
Item 1) Another F-16
lost and Gasprom into washing machines.
Item 2) A tree that thrives on lightning & more DSM found.
Item
1) Another F-16 lost and Gasprom into washing machines.
A few days back the
second F16 was lost but I only read it today. The pilot lost his
life so that is a setback because there are already so little
pilots. Anyway my condolences. Article:
Ukraine Loses Its Second F-16 Fighting Falcon: Zelensky
Link used:
https://nationalinterest.org/blog/buzz/ukraine-loses-its-
second-f-16-fighting-falcon-zelensky
In a more funny
development it was reported that after multi billion losses the
Russian gas giant Gazprom goes into making washing machines and
stuff like refrigerators. They seem to have a plant from Bosch who
likely had to 'sell' it with a giant loss. But Gazprom has lost a
ton of business and it won't return anytime soon and combined with
the present oil prices it starts looking a bit bleak for the
Kremlin. This is how Kyiv Post it reported:
Russia’s Gazprom to Start Making Fridges Amid Historic Losses
https://www.kyivpost.com/post/50909
And what likely is a
bit more Russia-friendly kind of website reports the stuff as
follows:
Gazprom subsidiary prepares to restart Bosch plants
Link used: https://www.oreanda-news.com/en/tek/gazprom-
subsidiary-prepares-to-restart-bosch-plants/article1554666/
I didn't have time
enough to look into it but a few reports were there saying the
Russians don't resupply their tanks... If true that would be
great, they also seem to be borrowing tanks for the yearly parade
on the Red Square. If all correct that is of course a significant
change in favor of Ukraine. But old and nasty as I am I always
avoid giving false hope, may be there are other reasons old
stockpiles of tanks don't reach the front although I would not
know what kind of reasons that would be.
Lets go to the last
item.
Item 2) A tree that thrives on lightning & more DSM found.
Both video's of today
have to do with electrons but not my usual rant that it is logical
they are magnetic monopoles. No, lightning and more DSM found far
far away in a solar system far far away.
Anton Petrov found a
crazy results of a bunch of researchers that studied in detail how
a forest reacts on lightning. And weirdly enough they found a
species of tree that thrives on lightning. I forgot the name of
the tree but on average they get struck by lightning about five
times over their lifespan and yes that is a magnificent thing to
survive...
Most trees have severe
damage like the one on this image below, that species does not
thrive on strikes by lightning. Clcik on the image for the
video:

Video title: Bizarre Tree That Evolved to Use Lightning for Survival
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcqFVToVc1k
Today it came out that
a researcher (or may be a group) has found more traces of a
chemical named DSM was found. Here on earth it is a so called
biomarker, something that can only be made by life. It was found
via looking at spectral features when a planet passes in front
it's host star and that alone is a miracle that it can be
done.
Not all science is
total crap like the idea's around electron spin. Anyway the
University of Cambridge came out with a video on this interesting
subject. For myself speaking I think that life is plentiful when
conditions are met for it to emerge, but multicellar life I just
don't know. Here on earth it took ridiculously long before living
cells started to work together and as far as I know that could be
blazingly fast. So we don't know and just have to keep on looking
for life I just guess.

That was it for this
week, see you may be in the next week.
(16 April 2025)
Tariffs on, tariffs off, tariffs in another bucket and so on and
so on, the chaos continues. Well I am not the CEO of an
international but I would not try to expand factories inside the
USA.
Lately I saw an
interview with that Navarro guy and he clearly stated that:
"Right now we collect 2 billion a day in tariffs while the
trade deficit is 4 billion a day". It sounded like he really
believes that 'foreigners' pay the tariffs... This is all crazy
beyond belief.
Anyway using that now
famous math I decided to calculate the tariff my own country must
have because we do no run a trade surplus with the USA but a
deficit. Yes you read this right: The USA runs a trade surplus
with my country. Here's the pic again:

The latest figures I
could find in just a few minutes were from 2022 and 2023 so does
not win the beauty contest for statistics but the calculation is
very simple:
(51.2 - 78.4)/51.2 = -53%.
Minus 53%? Yes that
means the for every 100$ we sell to the USA the External Revenue
Agency will pay us 53$ because of math. Ok there was also
something of halving that so that would be say -26%...
Oh oh lets go to our
items while looking at angry penguins.

Item 1) A tiny bit of
news from UA.
Item 2) The Sledgehammer Theorem.
Item
1) A tiny bit of news from UA.
All that crazy
economical news suppresses the news from Ukraine, now a huge part
of my video feeds are stupid video's of people talking about
stocks. It seems that Ukraine has stricken back at the Russian
basis where the dreadful attacks from a few days back came from.
But I don't know what the results were, here is a link from the
Kyiv Post:
Ukrainians Strikes Back at Russian Unit Responsible for Palm Sunday Attack – Military.
Link used: https://www.kyivpost.com/post/50839
The cease fire talks
still are going nowhere, that was more or less to be expected. The
USA envoy to Ukraine Keith Kellog caused a bit of a stir by
comparing a possible future scenario for Ukraine to the situation
in post war Germany. That pissed off a number of people because
Germany was divided in parts because they were the aggressor and
contrary to remarks made by Donald Trump, Ukraine did not start
this war.
So Mr. Kellog came out
declaring he did NOT propose such a carving up of Ukraine. The
Kyiv Independent:
Kellogg clarifies comments after seemingly suggesting Ukraine can be split like postwar Germany after peace deal.
Link used:
https://kyivindependent.com/ukraine-can-be-split-like-
postwar-germany-after-peace-deal-kellogg-suggests/
And somewhere I read
that Russia would have a 42% tariff if the famous White House math
formula was applied to them, but of course Donald gave the
Russians a waiver...
Item 2) The Sledgehammer Theorem.
A few days back I
started working on a new post upon a theorem I have never proved
in detail but in the post I am going to give what I consider to be
the most simple example.
A long time ago when I
found this cute theorem, on that day the new song of Miley Cyrus
was released and that song had the title of Wrecking Ball. So I
could enjoy Miley's ass on a wrecking ball and no sane male would
complain about that. Anyway that is why I named the theorem after
the sledge hammer thing.
This theorem is easy
to explain: Say you have a set of complex numbers like the two
dimensional numbers from the complex plane. Now often these
numbers are denoted as z = x + iy where x and y are real numbers.
Now you can replace those two real numbers by numbers from other
numbers systems like for example the 3D complex numbers.
And if you have done that you have a 5D space where you can still
integrate and differentiate just like in the complex
plane.
But I just started
writing it so only at most one quarter is done so it's gonna take
some time as usual because math is math and it is not talking out
of you neck but you must think a little bit all the time.

It was a long time ago
since I looked for the last time at stuff like this so lets hope
my old old memory does not fail me too much...
With that let us split
and may I thank you for your attention?
(11 April 2025) The
latest in the crazy tariff saga is that all tariffs are now down
to 10% (except the 25% on Canada and Mexico I believe). But China
now stands at an interesting 145%. I observed Donald Trump literally
saying that 'They will make China pay for it' and in another video
clip I saw hum bragging that the tariffs are already bringing in 2
billion a day...
It is a bit mind
boggling but could it be that he believes that indeed foreigners
or foreign governments actually pay those tariffs at the External
Revenue Agency? If so, this is crazy beyond belief. And this guy,
this Donald, is already since the year 1987 busy with 'thinking'
about tariffs??? We can conclude these are all very fresh
economical policies.
The rationale given
for the lowering of the tariffs (temporary), so away from the
strange math we saw in the previous update, is the behavior of the
bond markets. Together with the stock markets they declined and as
such the so called yields rose making new debt more expensive.
There are crazy estimates out there that say 7 to 9.2 trillion US$
has to be sold this year, mostly refi stuff. But today's auction
of, what was it, 92 billion or so went ok it was reported. So what
can possibly go wrong on the US Federal debt markets?

The above image is
from a local website named iex.nl, so likely they have the copy
rights. Anyway lets go to the two items of today.
Item 1) A shorty on
Ukraine, gasmasks and stuff like that.
Item 2) Action lab with a perfect video on the goldfoil
experiment.
Item
1) A shorty on Ukraine, gasmasks and stuff like that.
Lets not do difficult;
for Russia it is pretty common to do what they want and as such
neglect standard conventions on war like the Geneva convention. I
can't remember to have written about it but all the time the war
is going on Russia is dumping canisters of ultra strong tear gas
into the Ukrainian trenches. So it not those horrible deadly
gasses but this form of tear gas is simply forbidden for usage in
a war situation.
The UK is donating a
bunch of gas masks to Ukraine. Weirdly enough at the frontline
often this kind of gear is simply missing. That is strange because
it is not horribly expensive. When I was a soldier they were about
400 or 500 Dutch guilders, say now may be 500 €. Anyway here is
a BBC article on this detail.
Thousands of UK gas masks being sent to Ukraine
Link used: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/crldnw5lly6o
A very different story
is from the Kyiv Post, video evidence of the execution of four
Ukrainian soldiers. Click on the picture if you want to read the
article.

Article title: Video Evidence as Russian Troops Execute More Ukrainian POWs in Zaporizhzhia.
Link used: https://www.kyivpost.com/post/50566
It is a bit hard to
see in the above image because I had to shrink it so much, but
here are four soldiers lying on the ground executed...
Lets go to the next
item.
Item 2) Action lab with a perfect video on the goldfoil
experiment.
Ok ok the last time I
mentioned the Action Lab it was because the guy that runs the
video channel explained that so called Einstein de Haas effect as
experimental evidence that electrons have intrinsic angular
momentum.
The problem with that
explanation is that it only works if all electrons align their
spins into the direction of the applied magnetic field. And that
is not a so called 'probabilistic explanation' that is always
celebrated as a very important feature of quantum mechanics. In
the Stern-Gerlach experiment it is alway 50/50 percent probability
for spin up or spin down. But in stuff like the Einstein de Haas
effect or the Magnetic caloric effect it is never probabilistic
but just 100% of the electrons always align. And these experiments
are all very similar: You apply a vertical magnetic field...
That's one of the
reasons that for many years I say that the physics professors
often talk out of their neck when it comes to electron magnetism
or electron spin if you want.
So that was a bit of a
minus point for the Action Lab while on the other hand the guy
simply believes the official explanation and that's it. There is
no conspiracy going on so.
The next video if very
different, it is a small repeat of the famous goldfoil experiment
from what was it, Rutherford or so. That was physics as it is
supposed to be and at the time it showed that atoms had a nucleus.
So that was a very important result.
Normally you must
click on the picture to see the video but this time I did it a bit
different because I got the 4K video from youtube and as such if
you click on the picture you get a large version of the small
version below. The guy made a simple but very effective cloud
chamber for visualizing the path of particles. That's what you see
in the image.

So the Action Lab is
coming back strong with a more or less perfect video like this
one. So no nagging that electrons are in fact magnetic monopoles
this time, I can't stay mad all the time. Here is the video &
the link:
Video title: This Is What It Looks Like When Atoms Collide.

That was it for this
week, take care of your portfolio if you have one and as always
thanks for your attention.
(09 April 2025) I
missed the 'math' behind the trade tariffs from the USA on other
nations, only a day later I found that out. Well it is very
horrible as it is far too simple for such a complicated thing as
finding a reasonable level of tariffs. The math itself has nothing
to do with say the tariffs that the trading partner of the USA
has, it is just the trade deficit divided by the exports to the
USA.
The epsilon and phy
are stuff like the price elasticity and 'political considerations'
but miracle mirror on the wall the product is one. So mi
is the export to the USA and xi xi is the trade
deficit that country has. Nowhere existing tariffs are taken into
consideration.

My own country imports
more from the USA as they import from us, so there is no trade
deficit but a surplus in favor of the USA. Anyway the benefit of
this all is now anyone can see how smart they actually are over
there in the USA White House...
Lets go to the two items for today.
Item 1) Ural price fun
& impending Russian spring offensive in the UA?
Item 2) Video: All kinds of numerical QM problems, it does not
work.
Item 1) Ural price fun & impending Russian spring offensive in
the UA?
With all the trade
tariff chaos and even talk of a possible recession, oil prices
have come down significantly in the last days. Russian Ural was
quoted at 52$ while the Kremlin as an accountancy thing needs 70$
a barrel in order for their budget to be balanced. So that's an
interesting development. An editorial from oilprice dot com:
Oil Price Plunge Could Severely Impact Russia's Economy.
Link used: https://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/Oil-Price-
Plunge-Could-Severely-Impact-Russias-Economy.html
It looks like the
cease fire leads to nothing because Russia doesn't want to stop
fighting. Ok US president said he would put secondary sanctions on
Russian oil sales but for some strange reason I think this will
never happen.
At DW news they ponder
the question if a new Russian spring offensive is in the making.
Here is the video:

Video title: Is Russia preparing a new spring offensive in Ukraine? | DW News.
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhjE-Fe6GNQ
Lets go to the next
item.
Item
2) Video: All kinds of numerical QM problems, it does not work.
Ok, since 2015 I began
suspecting that electrons are not tiny magnets but in fact
magnetic monopoles. If indeed electrons are such in that case the
electron pair is much more logical compared to the chaos of the
present official version.
The official version
says that magnetic monopoles do not exist (that's the Gauss law
for magnetism, it's a math law not an experimental one) and that
in an electron pair it is the Pauli exclusion principle that says
the electrons must have opposite spins.
Opposite spins, what
does that mean? Well if true that electrons are tiny magnets, in
that case they must anti align in order to form an electron pair.
That simply means they must bind via north pole to north pole or
south pole to south pole. So that violates that in magnetism only
opposites attract, that is the official version although it is
never told so explicitly. More often you observe that wooly wooly
talk of "There is that wonderful principle that is named the
Pauli exclusion principle that says not quantum numbers can be the
same".
As always they skip
the part where this line of reasoning becomes crazy: the electron
pair.
So if you are a
programmer and you want to do numerical simulations of say a
hydrogen atom, how the hell can you make two hydrogen atoms bind
if you must use the anti-alignment of the electron spins? Because
in that case the electrons must repel because of their electric
charges and also their repelling magnetic forces.
But physicist would
not be physicist if they would not talk out of their neck and just
as easily as all the madness get just neglected one more time,
their explanation of the electron pair is that in this way all
magnetism cancels out. Yes they are just so good in talking out of
their necks when it comes to electron spin.
The video is not about
electron spin but more on method like the Bohr Oppenheim rule of
calculating with fixed nuclei because that strongly simplyfies the
calculations. May be also that Hartree-Fock stuff, anyway the guy
from the See The Pattern channel nicely points out there are
already problems with simple molecular hydrogen. And that is what
I strongly expected all the time...

Video title: The Hidden Crisis in Quantum Mechanics: Structure Needs Help.
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okEHd-I7VZ0
So now in the year
2025 when you use the wave equation of Schrödinger you even get
stuff right like the typical and specific angles there are in
molecules. Interesting, but how those people doing computer
simulations get molecular hydrogen to bond is a total mystery to
me. There are hardly video's out there on this detail suggesting
there are indeed all kinds of deep problems.
That was it for this
update, as always thanks for your attention.
(04 April 2025) Stock
markets around the world crash and burn a little bit. Hard to say
how much long term damage there will be because there is no
legislation and only those presidential executive orders or so.
Time is running out so lets go to the two items of today:
Item 1) Paul Warburg
on possible development of US arms production.
Item 2) I won't comment much on the trade tariffs.
Item
1) Paul Warburg on possible development of US arms production.
Lately a lot of
Europeans included myself ponder how wise it is to invest in USA
military hardware especially the more advanced stuff. Right now
there is a clear and present problem; can you use those weapon
systems when you need them yes or no?
The present political
leadership in the USA is such that they constantly seek ways to
control other countries, as such for them it is logical to simply
forbid the use of advanced weaponry if they can gain a foothold
over that on that particular country and military.
A clear example of
that is of course the UA minerals deal, stuff like that emerges
from a set of moral values that is very different from say the
average person.
Anyway in my view we
must develop such more advanced weapon systems much more
ourselves. And yes that makes it much more expensive and or less
quality and this and that but at least it will be sovereign
military gear. And as such out reach by weirdo's from other
political constellations.
Paul Warburg made a
video on possible future evolution of US military hardware because
as the present day model goes: It is awfully expensive to design a
new system from scratch but the cost per unit stay in check
because the USA exports a lot of them driving down the average
costs.
And yes, likely that
will go away if other nations refrain more and more at binding
their fate on what can be described as a weird political
constellation like now in the USA.
So click on the video
if you want to see it, remark how beautiful the landscape is over
there. May be we should simply confiscate the whole of the USA
because that is in the interest of inter-stellar
security...

Video title: The Collapse of America’s Arms Industry Has Already Begun.
Link used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgtdDEV0pfA
Lets go to the next
item.
Item
2) I won't comment much on the trade tariffs.
Well it was an
interesting day where a whole lot of economical diarrhea were
splashed out over the international media. Most of it is such
stupid reasoning that I just don't comment on it, it's too fucking
stupid.
And also very faulty,
the White House weirdo's estimated the EU tariffs to be about 39%
and that includes our local VAT. Well VAT is slammed on just
everything so that is not something that 'punishes' the USA or so.
Like I said these people are just fucking stupid, the most
elementary economical principles are totally not understood.
I found another weirdo
that thinks that tariffs are not a tax hike but a tax cut. Peter
Navarro is his name and a few days back he gave an interview to
CNN where he consistently claimed tariffs are not a tax hike. So
beside the White house press lady the Leavitt chick this is the
second weirdo to state this. This trade war is like a Brexit on
steroids and during the Brexit years it also did not help much to
point out all the flaws of reasoning in say the words of people
like Jacob Rees Mogg. People like that are basically an oversized
speech center on two legs and it keeps on talking and it never has
any form of deep thought.
And if it wasn't
enough that this tariff presentation was full with economical diarrhea
and basic wrong numbers, it also included a list of countries and
territories where nobody lives. Like some island apperently
belonging to Australia but so far away it takes two weeks to get
there by boat... On one of those islands was a volcano, lots of
snow and ice, zero people and colonies of penguins that were
unaware of what exports actually are let alone the tariffs they
now have to face.
So that what the
picture below is from: tariffed penquis! But if you click on it
you get the CNN article from a few days back:

Article title: Trump aide says tariffs will raise $6 trillion, which would be largest tax hike in US history.
Link used: https://edition.cnn.com/2025/03/31/economy/
tariffs-largest-tax-hike/index.html
The 6 trillion is over
10 years so about 600 billion US$ tariffs a year. All in all it is
staggering how stupid they are at the US White House but I also
wonder year in year out why the physics professors are that stupid
to think that electrons are tiny magnets. And stuff like that has
gone on for over 100 years now so weird knowledge like how tariffs
act as a tax or electron magnetism, if you have enough weirdo's in
your organization you will never get rid of those untruths.
That is what I had to
say on the crazy developments from today, we can safely conclude
that it is amateur hour at the White House just 24/7. So thanks
for your attention.
For the time being I think I keep the next
